Cambridge Contemporary Art

This gallery certainly has beautiful items on show, and I've bought special gifts from CCA for people in the past. But a few weeks ago the service I received was so off-putting that I probably won't be back in a hurry. Neither girl in the shop could muster a smile or a greeting as I entered. When I asked if a certain print on display was available as a card (the print itself being marked NFS), the girl took ages to understand my question. And once she did, she just pointed me to the rack of cards, in a most off-hand way. Not the service I expect in such an upmarket shop.

We visited the gallery whilst on holiday from Scotland a few weeks ago and saw a beautiful pair of sculptured terns. We were unsure if they would fit our mantelpiece. The staff went out of their way to measure all aspects of the birds to help us out but we couldn’t decide.
We went home and they arrived safely in the post yesterday as a surprise from my husband, I am over the moon😀!
They were extremely well packaged and undamaged.
I would like to thank the friendly and helpful gallery staff for going above and beyond our expectations and, as for the terns, they have pride of place in our living room!
I look forward to our next visit either real or virtual!

CCA is an independent gem in the centre of Cambridge. They show a wide range of contemporary artists, and the exhibitions change very regularly. My partner and I are regular visitors to the gallery, and we've acquired a number of prints and ceramics. They also do the own art scheme, which makes purchasing larger pieces easier.

This is a beautiful shop that sells art on rotation. This is the place I come to buy art. I love their creative curation. They have a stock of art / prints other than exhibitions. They also sell cards.

Great Emily Powell show. Staff is very friendly when asking for information.

Store is nicely set out and clean with friendly staff. Lots of interesting art to buy - not just paintings and canvases, but cards, plates, cups, etc. A nice little shop worth a visit.

Love Martin Bond's exhibit at this gallery back in 2017. Bought one of his photos showing St. John's May Ball and had it shipped home. Hope Mr. Bond could exhibit his work here more frequently in the future.

Good place to buy greetings cards if you want to send something a little different from the usual high street and supermarket offerings.
