I always expect more from this place. But it's somehow never fully astonishing! Worth a visit to place your mark on the map, but there are better galleries.

A small and pleasant gallery located right in the heart of Hyde Park. There is a small central exhibition room and then a larger section surrounding it. When I visited the Alienarium 5 exhibition was on and I was a little bit confused about the premise of the display. I was not massively gripped by it but I can imagine some people really enjoy it. You do not need to book tickets in advance and can easily turn up and enter on the day.

This is the Sister Gallery to the Serpentine North Gallery, and if you've already visited this, there's no need to give your details again as they'll see you on their system.
This exhibition focuses on the Alien Experience and invites us to imagine possible encounters with extraterrestrials. The Virtual Reality installation needs seperate registration inside the Gallery and is a 10 minute immersive experience looking through the eyes of an alien, quite fun. Also in the Black Chapel next to the Gallery there was a lady demonstrating the very intricate procedures of Japanese Tea Ceremony.

Did not make it into the gallery today, but walked around the summer pavilion next door, which has a hole in the roof and is an interesting place to watch the clouds float by.

Loving visit Serpentine Gallery. It was the last day of the dark chapel but I remember the last few summers I always came here to check the limited-period cafe. Creative & inspiring. And the staff are friendly & helpful.

I really love these galleries; being coming for over 12 years. Love, love contemporary and conceptual art. Some few changes after the pandemic but still lovely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Be a guest, it's still free and surrounded by beautiful green. Cheers

Super dope gallery. Slightly on the smaller edge but the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Went for the Kaws exhibition which was quite splendid.
Wished they had more merch to purchase beside books

Will keep an eye out for any further installations and exhibition

An exhibition by pioneering Sudanese artist Kamala Ibrahim Ishag, whose work intertwines the earthly and the spiritual through an understanding of our connections with the natural world.

Kamala Ibrahim Ishag’s work bridges the earthly and spiritual through an understanding of our connections with the natural world. A pioneering Sudanese artist, with a career spanning over 60 years, Ishag is a defining figure of modern and contemporary art. Her widely recognised paintings, where human and plant forms often intertwine, use a distinctive palette rooted in the colours of the sun, sand and sky. Ishag’s works contemplate both the cyclical flow of life and the intangible aspects of women’s lives in Sudan. Her major exhibition includes large-scale oil paintings, works on paper and painted calabashes alongside new and never-before-exhibited works.
I was in this exposition and I recommend 💯 also the space is really nice in the middle of the wonderfully Hyde Park 🌲🤍🫶🏻….
