The Fountain Gallery

Fabulous friendly artist run gallery with fortnightly changing exhibitions of fantastic and affordable original art, ceramics, paintings, textiles & greeting cards. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants in the road as well as the famous Hampton Court Palace just across the bridge.

Great little art gallery near Hampton Court with a fabulous variety of exhibitions alternating every two weeks.

It might be a good place for some people but not for me personally.

Always worth a visit as the displays change frequently and so it stays fresh.

Like all decent galleries entry is free and there's never any pressure to buy anything. It is a small place though so it's usually a place I'll only visit when I'm in the area for other reasons, such as the antique emporiums and my wife's favourite gift shop nearby, Galleria.

The gallery is run by a group of 20 artists exhibiting, so you get first hand information about the artwork on the walls. The atmosphere is welcoming, the artists are always happy to chat. There is a new show every 2 weeks: from very diverse, established artists. The theme ranges from representative (local and scenery inspired by world wide travels) to thematic to pure abstract. A gem of a gallery, well worth the visit.
