Masala Bazaar - Granville Lane, Newport

Excellent place to get spices and the staff are friendly and helpful.
They have a good range of fresh produce including a butcher's section with fresh meat.
Frozen food is also available and everything is reasonably priced.
Certainly worth a visit if you have never been there before.

Broad range of South East Asian foods including meats. Spices about half the price of big named grocery stores. Sell fresh halal meat. No frills but have plenty of unique variety. Larger than most Asian food stores. Busy keeps their stock fresh. Has parking outside.

Love a little trip to stock up on spices and bits and bobs. Worth going halves with a neighbour or family buy bigger split the costs so much better buying in bulk. Always find what I want here. Worth a visit save a fortune on supermarket prices. Only 4 stars no sanitizer for my basket lucky we took some....

Great sauce of culinary inspiration, if Indian food is your thing. The staff all seem to have good knowledge of their assortment of fragrant oddities.

I'll admit I'm green when is comes to Indian cuisine but I still wish the items in stock we're better labelled. Much of the packaging isn't in English and many fresh items have no packaging or labelling at all. Knowing the price is handy but so is knowing what it is you are holding. I would definitely spend more money if I was sure I could make something delicious from said non descript items.

Otherwise the store is great and right next to Lidel for your other needs. Not much parking but again Lidle has what Masala Bazaar does not 😁 Happy shopping.

If you like chicken Tikka there is only one place and that's masala Bazar .the lads are nice and friendly they will carry your shopping to your car .big variety of spices that chicken was bought today and cooked on a bbq 😍

Great lil place. Has nearly everything you need. Lots of spices, frozen kebabs etc. Also has a butcher. Everything is halal. Glad to have them around.

Extremely well-stocked store with halal meat counter, super fast service. Lots of frozen halal options as well as spices, rices, grains etc. Found a decent tavva, too!
