Know plenty of good curry houses, but this one tops the lot! Always freshly made curries, the staff are super friendly, the experience is second to none and the sag bhaji is amazing!

Can highly recommend the Redfort as a must for anyone in the local area!

The redfort is always my go to resturant! I've been eating here for the past 5 years and have ever had a bad meal or experience. I'm a fussy vegetarian and there are always plenty of options. The food is always hot and delicious and the staff are friendly and efficient. Very reasonably priced also compared to other Indians in and around Basingstoke.

First time visiting this place. Way out of my way, but I was meeting ex work colleagues for a catch up. Nice enough restaurant and the food was nice. Like most Indian restaurants, the tables are far too close together and you feel you are eating with the people on the table next to you.

My first curry house visit in 30 years after being set up once with a vindaloo, ouch. So wasn't much of a curry fan but decided to have another go.
We had a Saturday evening reservation and the place was full.
On the whole the food was tasty and a korma is not hot. The starter was a mixed kebab which was served warm and partially cold so not sure if this should have been served hot or cold but it was nice. Main dish was lamb korma and egg fried rice. Again despite being set on hot plates the food was not much more than warm which makes me wonder how long it was sitting before being served. The lamb, what there was was of it and not that much, I think was mutton as it was tough and chewy. I was picking it out of my teeth two hours later. Not nice.
We were set on a table right by the takeaway collection point which was very busy and spent the almost two hours we were in the restaurant getting bumped by people queuing for take outs. Not the best experience to be honest. It was over crowded.
I'd give it another go at maybe a different time when not too busy to see if the food comes out hot.
Overall, the food was ok and no better than canned curry's I have had for a fraction of the price. As for the experience...not overly impressed.

Was ok, but no more than that. Staff friendly and hard working. Service was quick considering how busy they were. Food was alright but have had a lot better many times, at a better price. Very busy inside (borderline overcrowded) with those collecting takeaways getting in the way of diners and could be organised better with a little effort. Overton needs another Indian restaurant to improve competition that would ensure Redfort make a few simple improvements.
