1 star for the customer service.
My wife, brother in law and myself had walked uphill, down dale and by the river all day, about 12 mile i think we had walked.

We decided to get the train back to chester but wanted to eat and drink before the journey home.

My brother in law and i were desperate for the toilet so we went in leaving my wife at the door. I was still in the bathroom but my brother in law and wife had already gone to the train station to wait. I followed them, my wife said the landlord / owner was not happy about us using his toilets, so I went back in for a coke. My wife and her brother were too annoyed to go back in.

When i started that we were going to buy food and drink but we HAD to use the toilets first as we were unable to hold on, he said "we are on a main road and i have to make a point of it".

(well thats fine, make a POLITE point, dont be an antisocial c**t about it)

Having spoken to my brother in law when i got back to the station, he told me the exact words were "who are you to just come in to my business and use my toilets"... "WHO ARE YOU..... to use MY TOILETS" Now, my wife and BIL are from saudi, and by his tone it seemed more than just an irked landlord, seemed almost a little racial. I have never ever heard anyone word anything in such a way to someone. The overtone seemed almost supremacist and "1up".

The guy easily lost out on £150 that night.

Note to owner: next time, ask IF people are buying food or a drink, dont be such a rude git and you might get more custom.

Sadly no longer trading. It was known for fantastic food, comfortable ambience and superb staff. There is a bakery/cafe at the back named Honeys... very popular.
