I think the majority of homes in general appear very pleasant, the carers are polite and there is an overall positive atmosphere when visiting for the first time. I found it to be a very peaceful haven in the opening few months. It wasn't until the end of my late grandma's time there that I was advised by a lovely carer (who's name will remain anonymous for obvious reasons) that two other carers there had been extremely heavy handed and rough with my already suffering Grandma. This is not acceptable under any circumstances. When your elderly Grandparents are vulnerable, both mentally and physically and require the utmost care provided for their own wellbeing, it is not morally right in any sense to be careLESS In a job where required to do the opposite. My soul purpose is to seek justice to a lady who wasn't treated 100% correctly and more importantly my Nanna. Also to raise awareness and stress to take extra care when registering your loved ones with a place they can see out there remaining days as a safehouse, a home with the peace they deserve.

I cannot thank the staff at the Pinelodge enough for their care and thoughtfulness when looking after my mother. They always kept me informed of her wellbeing and went the extra mile to ensure she felt appreciated and valued. It really did feel like a family. Very warm staff and they try to keep the same people on each floor so they build relationships with those living there. A dedicated key member of staff is given to each resident and my Mums was so kind. A low turnover of staff was observed on my mother’s floor. Thank you for your care Pinelodge.

My aunt has been a resident for over 18 months. The Manager and staff are caring professionals who have never failed to respond to any concerns and are always in touch to advise me of any changes in my aunt`s status. Regular reviews take place and I am confident that her stay has enhanced her wellbeing during a difficult period of her life.

I can't thank the home enough for the way they looked after my dad during his last few months. The staff were amazing (especially Haridas who really is a credit to the home) the home itself is lovely and clean and everyone you come into contact with were pleasant and always willing to help. The staff always kept us imfomed. Would recommend this home to anybody

My mum wad meant to be in pinelodge for 2 weeks for rest bite and rehabilitation she still there a month later this place is awful the first few nights the staff refused to help het to the toilet left her to fill het pad. they didn't do any admittance papers untill she was in there for a week so they didn't know of any allergies or anything there communication is non existent the nurse didn't know what she was doing or capable of doing with the physio in fact her mobility is alot worse than before she went in. Like i said she been in there a month now in that month she's had one shower then no soap was used just luke warm water sprayed over her.
Were on the second attempt to get her home with transport as the first time they didn't tell the transport team the correct equipment that was needed to take her. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They don't have a duty of care in this place all they have a duty of neglect.

My Mother was moved to Pinelodge Care Home on the Magnolia ward for end of life care. Florin, Tina and the team of nurses on that ward are true Angles. How they looked after her in her final days and comforted myself and the family we are truly grateful for. Even whilst waiting in the reception area, any staff that passed by always asked if we were being seen to, couldn’t ask for anything else.
Thank you so much, Andy

I was looking for a Care Home for my elderly mother, when I stumbled upon this site. My mother has many underlying health issues which I addressed to Pinelodge Care Home.

They reassured me that they had no cases of Covid-19 in their care home whilst I was delighted with this assurance ,I thought this sounded too good to be true .

I made a couple of inquires under the freedom of information Act and a very different picture was painted. I was informed in writing by the local authorities that Pinelodge care home actually had 24 Covid related deaths in 2020. I was so aggrieved I decided to report Pinelodge to the Care Quality Commission and have demanded a full investigation.

My main concern is that they have been totally dishonest in the information to a potential customer. I was deeply saddened that there ulterior motive is just to accumulate a financial gain under any circumstances .

At the time of my telephone calls I did ask the lady to confirm that they had no Covid cases to which she said absolutely none,we are in the minority as we have strict measures in place preventing anyone from contracting Covid.

I am still looking for a care home for my mother ,anyone has any suggestions. I think honesty is the best policy ,you have to be able to trust the care home you are placing your loved ones in. One lie leads to many others. Not happy,or satisfied with Pinelodge Care Home. STAY CLEAR .
