Audio Centre Croydon

This guy knows his stuff. I had taken my Panasonic recorder to a repair agent and they were unable to repair it. I then took it to the Audio centre croydon and explained the fault, he knew what the problem was straight away and was able to fix it. Since then I only use him to repair my equipment, a tape machine, my technics amp and turntable. He has told me that people nationwide send him reel to reel machines for him to service. Would highly recommend as it is a trustworthy outfit.

I recently had a speaker repaired after breaking a speaker terminal, as well as my turntable serviced. Alfonso repaired the speaker perfectly, and also serviced my turntable which sounds much improved. I was very pleased to have found Croydon Audio Centre after the speaker was damaged, and am enjoying the hifi now it’s all working well again.

Telephoned to ask if they could help with my PA system, was asked what make it was. The man said he didn't deal with that make, I asked if he knew of anywhere that might be able to help, he replied with "I've never even heard of it, so good luck, goodbye" and promptly hung up. The fact that he didn't deal with that make or recognise it is fine, but the telephone etiquette needs work. As my husband used to say 'old age is no excuse for rudeness'.

Top marks for this business can't fault them first class job on repairing my old dansette Bermuda they are that good they will be repairing my other 2 if you need an audio repair ? Then this is the place to go .

I had a broken volume switch on my Technics amp and I took it to Alfonso and a week later it was returned to me fixed.I’m so pleased with his work and would recommend Croydon audio centre to anyone.Many thanks Alfonso. Adrian Chapman

This man gave me a huge estimate of £900 and charged me £50 for it. I took it to another repair shop for a second opinion. It was fixed (and serviced) within a day for £150.
The Audio centre is blatantly ripping people off.
He was a rude and condescending person too.
AVOID !

This Man gave me a hugely over priced estimate for the repair of my vintage amplifier. Ridiculous. I got a second quote at a 10th, yes a TENTH of the cost, which I proceeded with.
The repair man was condescending and didn't like my questioning his very expensive quote! Giving one star is too many.

Absolutely fantastic experience thank you! Brought in my parents ancient Sony music centre (precious memories..) - turntable faulty, cassette deck dead - Alfonso and Tricia went out of their way to book it in and handle it carefully - rapid detailed diagnosis by email in a couple of days but more importantly they were able to bring it back to fully operational order - and rounded it off with a comprehensive handover - delighted - very rare to find such service and real expertise to resolve issues - we will be back with other 'un-mendable' items - for us to use and as legacy for our kids!
