After a collision my insurers Sheilas Wheels had my car repaired by ABL Kent Ltd. Came back excellent body work but , Coolant warning light on. Checked and it had no Coolant, no oil and no windscreen washers. Rang but was ignored . The engine could have blow up.

If I could give this place a 0, I would. Sent here by Esure / Sheila’s Wheels, and after a second attempt my car still looked like an absolute shower. Now having to take it to a proper crash repairer to be rectified. Vince, who runs this branch it seems, is a cowboy and decided to give me stick for his workers’ shoddy effort. Quite frankly, if you take your car here you need your head wobbling. Can’t even get the thing symmetrical in their bodges, and left paint off a bit they sprayed. Disgraceful workers.

Garage recommended by insurance company, after a foreign lorry went into my near side wing/headlight. Initially put off by the majority of reviews left. However pleased to say I found the whole process excellent. Courteous, lovely loan car (only had to replace petrol like for like), updated as required. Advised car may be a day later, due to a part arriving later. However car dropped off on the first day advised. I could have collected my car, but chose for it to be dropped off at my home. Very pleased overall.

The service i have received from ABL is nothing short of criminal. Unfortunately I have had to give this review 1 star as there is no option for less. My wife was involved in a non-fault accident last year and the car has been with ABL a total of 9 months out of 16.

The biggest issue I have, despite the poor level of workmanship is their inability to communicate and provide meaningful updates.

The vehicle in question has been with them for over 4 months (latest of 4 returns) now due to their latest inability to repair to a satisfactory standard. Despite multiple attempts to gain updates, only when I had informed the call centre I would call the police the vehicle had been stolen did I get a response from the garage. Since then their communication has been sporadic at best with multiple threads of incorrect and inaccurate information being provided.

Finally with light at the end of the tunnel and the vehicle going through a 2 week "rigorous quality control process" a drop off was booked, and the cancelled due to the vehicle not functioning correctly. This after having taken a day off work to be in receipt of the vehicle. Again no timescales on return and back to poor communication. It wouldn't surprise me if it was another 4 months.

I have asked several times to speak to their customer service team to raise a formal complaint and talk compensation, to be told that this would be done internally. I subsequently find out my point of contact was the customer service director despite them informing me they were the operational manager.

Please do not take your car to ABL

The worst garage I have ever been to! They cancelled on 2 occasions the DAY before my car was due to be picked up as ‘they weren’t on schedule’… I could tell it was going to be a nightmare and it ended up causing me to wait 5 months before anything even started! They gave me a courtesy car with an engine issue and 3 slow punching tyres! I was told by staff to re-pump the tyres as “it had been through all the checks, and it should be fine”. I was left without a car, again and I had to go and hire my own car for the time being. Trying to sort this out with staff over the phone must have been a comedy sketch. I cannot express the amount of headaches this company have caused me, they’re incredibly unhelpful, always behind schedule and seem to struggle with the basic needs of their clients. I haven’t even got my car back yet, this has been my first week of repairs so if you need your car fixing, go anywhere else ! Trust me!

Very average service. They fixed my car, then managed to make a problem elsewhere which meant my car having to go back in a second time.
Very frustrating as they can only give 8am -1pm or 2-6pm time slots for them to deliver the car, and then push for it ASAP as they need the courtesy cars back. Courtesy car also smelt really bad. Said they'd fill the car up with a quarter of a tank of petrol and didn't.
Would never choose this garage myself to use. Unfortunately it was the garage my insurance company wanted to use. I'd avoid it if I had a choice.
2 stars because the repairs have finally been done and are good.

Sent here by Esure/Sheilas Wheels. Avoid this company, very poor customer service and very very slow to get back in touch. Once they have your phone number it seems like they refuse to answer your calls. The insurers are supposed to do all the running around and chasing up but these people have caused us even more stress while we are still suffering with shock from our car accident. They have had our car for almost 3 weeks and still haven't given us any idea if it can be fixed. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!

Was meant to pick my car up today in a time slot between 1 and 5 to get it fixed but heard nothing so contacted them; they then said they wouldn’t be able to and it would have to be next Wednesday, after I’ve taken a day off work and now lost out on earnings. Customer support were terrible only reason I have gone with this place is because of insurance, wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole otherwise
