Absolutely terrible.I wouldn't recommend this garage to anyone. After my car braking down I took it to this garage to be looked at.I was told that the car was fine and just maybe needed more petrol in it.I left the garage and topped up the petrol on the way home and then it broke down after I left the petrol station.I had my car towed back to the same garage where I was told I would be contacted to see if the problem could be resolved.I wasn't contacted and decided to contact the garage after a week.I went back to the garage and was told that the problem is most likely a sensor that had to be changed or a problem with the fuel pump or fuel filter. He had no intention of looking into the fuel pump or fuel filter and getting them repaired so I bought the sensor as he said that the sensor may be the problem.I paid for the sensor and the price to fit it.He said to come back at a particular time and when I went back he said it would take longer to fit it so I went home and come back again when it had been done.i wasn't even contacted to say the car wasn't ready after going down at the particular time that was stated for me to pick it up.Eventually the sensor had been fitted.... I broke down in traffic 2 days later with my 4 year old son in the car.Plus my car was completely covered in bird droppings after picking it up from him.Terrible communication skills and really bad service. All a complete waste of time and money at this garage.avoid at all costs

Drove all the way down to this place from Tredegar and arrangements were made for the owner to contact me when he got hold of a replacement bumper for my car. This was about a month ago and not herd nothing. Could of gone elsewhere to get this fixed by now. Nothing worse than being held on a string with no reply. So not exactly impressed. Will up date my review as and when I finally get the call he's got the bumper and ready to do the job. Until then this review stands.

Edit: it only took Chris 7 months to respond to my review here... Clearly customer service is not a priority. Avoid this garage!

Dropped my car off Thursday 20/08/20 for an MOT, the car failed on its rear brakes, Chris told me the replacement cylinders would be vastly cheaper than it turned out to be. Though at the end of the day I was prepared to pay for the work no problem. These things happen. Chris contacted me the next day to say the car had passed its second MOT.

Then when my Father-in-law (a mechanic by trade) paid for the work and picked the car up on the Friday 21/08/20 he noticed that the brake pedal still had a large amount of travel on it. This was one of the things the MOT specifically failed on. So, he took the car back to Chris who said it should be fine because it passed the MOT. When questioned on it his answer was that it came in like that and it was not his fault.

Fast forward to Monday 24/08/20 when we turned up to collect the car after Chris quoted another £200 to fix the already 'fixed' brakes. After telling him I'd be dropping in to pick the car up, Chris had hurriedly handwritten a waiver for me to sign saying that by picking up the vehicle I was acknowledging the problems with the car. When my father-in-law advised against signing it Chris told me I couldn't take the car as it was in no fit state to be driven. He'd blocked my car in with his 4x4 until we threatened to involve the police.

An independent MOT garage confirmed my fears that the car was in no state to pass it's MOT, the brake was described as 'dangerous' by them. I will not be taking my car back to Chris again, and I am appalled at his blasé attitude towards the safety of my car (and so too my own personal safety).

I don't know if he took one look at me and thought he could pull the wool over my eyes because it's evident I don't know much about motoring myself; or if it was a genuine mistake; but after seeing the way he acted Monday morning by telling me the car was in no state to be driven after PASSING my MOT at the end of the week prior, and not allowing me to leave without signing a shoddily prepared waiver frantically covering his bottom at the last moment; I advise anyone reading this to consider alternatives before taking your car to Chris.
