Halfords Romford

Had a dash cam fitted at this branch. Booked via telephone, excellent service and got a fast appointment. The staff member who installed the cameras was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Clean install and great customer service

After a really poor experience with Halfords Basildon with regards to an exchange of a 1/2 in to 3/8 Halfords advanced Adaptor which was refused based on their ignorance and was told this was not part of the advanced set. As I knew it came with the set, I went to Halfords Romford where I originally bought this from.

I was greeted by Gavin as soon as I walked in. Explained the matter and Gavin straight away told me that they used to do this kit and as the bit was used on a sliding tool it didn’t have the engraving probably because the tool had a hole across it for the sliding tool and went onto request a replacement via their portal. I said I don’t really need the one with hole so he replaced it with a standard one.

Knowledgeable person, No fuss and the matter was resolved instantly. That is excellent customer service.

Halfords needs more people like Gavin who had the product knowledge and was polite and engaging all the way.

No stars really deserved as rear camera device fitted has not worked since moment fitted 1/11 . Told technician before leaving directly after the fitting who said they would discuss and advise why in a day or so and took my details.

Have been back to the store three times since and more promises to call me to find a fix solution never came as of today.

So need the device removed, severely disappointed with really rubbish service.

Excellent customer service & always plenty of parking.

Staff on parts desk very helpful, staff on regular checkout friendly, floor staff always asking if they can help, fixing staff are problem solvers.

Bit irregular as some standard parts (fixtures & fittings) need to be ordered in ahead of time.

Called in today for an urgent emergency repair. I had travelled down from Yorkshire to visit my poorly Mother. Snow had caused damage to the underneath of car making it undriveable. It was temporarily repaired very quickly. Really appreciated the care and consideration.

Excellent service, very helpful and attentive staff. Fitted a new copetitively priced battery very quickly and offered useful after sale advice. Top job, well done.

Had one of my lights go out, ordered and collected the next day, fitted by Antonio after he gave me advice on the right bulbs in terms of brightness. Great service, highly recommend 👍

Caused damage to two alloys when taking a car in for new tyres. Issue raised and have had no response in two weeks, awful service. Also car was booked in for 4 wheel alignment - a service shown and paid for - only to be told they ‘do not do it’ aka they didn’t want to move the cars out as the machine was at the front. Even worse they are still trying to charge full amount paid for.

Avoid avoid avoid!!!
