Great customer service from Levi today when I collected my son’s new bike and cycling accessories, offering to adjust the seat or handlebars as needed, and gently highlighting the service plan available but not being pushy with it.

We originally viewed the bike at the Old Kent Road branch but unfortunately they couldn’t build it for 15 days, so we ordered for collection from Charlton instead.

The bike had been assembled well and everything was presented nicely. Was served quickly, despite store being busy, with no wait, and the store air conditioning was very effective! Was in and out in less than five minutes.

The most unreliable store.
Their communications need improving.
I recently bought two bikes from there. Asked for it to be built but when I got there it was boxed so I had to wait even more. Got a text saying that my bike is ready for collection and I get there only to tell me that it’s actually not ready and definitely not built. Unacceptable.

A horrible experience. Booked our bikes in at another Halford store for new brakes on my girlfriend's bike, front baskets to be fitted to both bikes, lights and mudguards on my (new) bike and phone holders on both. On arrival we were immediately told that Halfords only fit brakes and electrical items to bikes supplied by them but they would check and advise if we needed new ones which we knew already. Why on earth was this not mentioned on booking in as I would never have bothered to take them there! We went away, leaving the other work to be done, came back 45 minute later to be told nothing could be done because the front baskets didn't fit on either bike, the mudguards didn't fit on my bike and the small basket that he had removed he had broken one of the handlebar straps so when he refitted it the basket was tilting forward 45 degrees. My girlfriend asked if he had a couple of cable ties so she refitted the basket properly herself. The only thing that we ended up with was 2 phone holders which we fitted ourselves but I could have bought these on amazon for £7 each instead of the £10 each from Halfords but I wanted to just take the bikes in and have everything done in one visit. It really was a waste of our time, poor service and a textbook example of how not to go about things. The technician broke most of the items he intended to attach so Halfords would have just lost money on the whole exercise. Totally unimpressed with the whole experience and will always use an independent bike shop who care about getting the job done, do it correctly, and without a negative technician with a poor attitude.

This shop is nice, clean and quiet. Not much customers. WHY?. Not the problem with this shop but problem caused by parking lot. Pay attention to parking hours limitation. Look at my photos.
I have a terrible experience with this shopping area. I shop around various shops. I bought some items. After my happy shopping in this area, I got a 63 pounds fine from parking company because I over park a few minutes. This experience make me hate this shopping area. I will not shop in this area any more.
Are you ready to pay double for parking here? Good luck.

This wonderful store has great choices of kids bikes, bike and travel accessories and baby car seats, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A very well stocked and organised store and not overcrowded. You may have to hunt around for the vehicle cards to buy the right oils, anti freeze and hydraulic fluids for your motor but they are there if you look hard enough. The bicycles and accessories are up on the first floor and the guy who assisted me was very helpful.

What's cool about the spot - Firstly it's a huge space with a dedicated floor for bikes and bike accessories - lovely just to be there for any bike lover. Your bike can be freely built and delivered to you depending on the bike you choose. With a variety of accessories to choose from, buying a helmet and lights was really easy at the store.
Tip : Arriving at the right helmet size is easier at the store. Don't buy online unless you are too sure.
The staff were very friendly and Inthu was very kind to give me some tips. Halfords is a place to go for bikes and this Charlton spot is awesome.

Improvement suggestion to owners - You could mark a cycling track for trials on the first floor. It's not a must, but could give the floor an uplift - Have seen it in a few bike stores.

If you found my review useful, please do give it a 👍 and follow me on Google Maps for more useful tips around the world.

Located within the 'Stone Lake Retail Park', we've been here a handful of time and it has more than enough on offer to cater to most things needed for your vehicle, bike, camping and more. If this isn't the case, you could always order online and pickup in-store.

Staff were helpful when we asked, so noting bad to state.

Good experiences so far.
