I contacted Keith at KN Transmissions following a lot of good feedback about his work from friends. The job was pretty straight forward, to fully rebuild a Cosworth T5 gearbox, but unfortunately the parts are quite scarce these days. Keith still managed to source bits and bobs from all over and rebuilt the box in good time. Since refitting the box feels tighter and smoother in gear change, with no crunching or whining for the first time in 10 years. One very happy customer! Easily accessible in Preston too, prices are more than fair and a he's a very nice chap to talk to. THANKS KEITH!!!

Hi all. I got in touch with K N Transmission due to having trouble with an M32 gearbox on a Vauxhall Insignia. I dealt with Keith who took me and the car out for a road test so he could listen to the noises coming from the box which i was trying to explain over the phone. He showed great professional customer service whilst dealing with me. I left the car with him. He diagnosed the faults. He kept me informed every step of the way. The Quote i received was the price i paid no add ons. Got the car back with all the faults fixed after a couple of days. I would really recommend K N Transmission to anybody having problems with a gearbox. I would definitely use them again and would let family and friends know about them.

Keith and Andy have to be the nicest people you could wish to meet, take time to explain, go through options, and even amidst a heavy workload showed me my stripped down gear box and overdrive and explained away a little of the mystic. They treated my beloved 50 yr old Volvo P1800 as if it it were theirs. The facilities are akin to Aston Martin works, superb. They even checked over other issues for me correcting my diagnosis and highlighting the real issue, saving me time and money.
My car was safely stored indoors at all time, calls were answered and returned. I was updated on progress. The underneath of the car spotless when put on the ramps to show me their handy work, (was in a dreadful state through years of gear box oil leaking)all wiring tidied and secured, old replacement bits saved as they knew i'd be interested. Gear change is fabulous, Overdrive instant and smooth. Price was extremely competitive. Workmanship absolute top notch, so refreshing to deal with people that have pride in what they do and go the extra mile. If only all service providing experiences were like this.

Drove the car home from your garage and everything was OK, Saturday I took the car on the motorway it drove superb - also gear change was very smooth.
