Rather stupidly, I underestimated the depth of a puddle across the road...that turned out to be more of a flood than I realised, and my car died halfway through it. To make matters worse, I tried to restart it a few times in a panic (which I've since learned is not a good idea!). The car had to be abandoned overnight and was sat in said flood for a good 16 or so hours and the engine was locked.
The hero's at A & K autos came out the next day super quick, and managed to rescue the car from the flood (which incidentally the RAC refused to do whilst the road was still flooded), get it back to their garage - and I don't know what magic they performed, but they managed to get him going again! and it only cost me a fraction of what I feared it would.
After thinking it would be a write off, I am beyond impressed with the absolutely fantastic service these guys pulled off.
I would most definitely recommend this garage for anyone considering their services.

Great mechanics honest trust worthy been using for a couple of years now. Wife's juke gained a knock dealer couldn't get it in for 5 weeks A&k had it in next day diagnosed problem straight away and fixed same day couldn't recommend them enough absolutely spot on

Great team of vehicle engineers. Always helpful. Keeping my elderly fleet of diesel cars and vans on the road til I can go electric. Hope they'll be able to support electrics too...

The guys were brilliant! The clutch went on my van so I was keen to get it back on the road as soon as possible. I dropped it round on Friday afternoon at 4:30 and by Tuesday mid day it was finished! I was impressed with the team and price was very reasonable.

Whilst on a touring holiday, the exhaust pipe on our 28 year old Talbot Express Motorhome sheared off and A&K Autos were recommended by another garage which we happened to stop outside of. We limped there & Adam came out to the roadside to direct us in and straight onto their high ramp. They set about cleaning & welding the break straight away and replaced the ripped exhaust mounts with my own spares. It was meticulously done with the main pipe needing heating & bending back into shape. We were back on the road within 45 minutes after happily paying a VERY reasonable bill. Thank you Adam & the boys, you got us out of a real jam & saved our holiday.
We cannot recommend them highly enough.
