Called up and spoke to Darren. He seemed fine and helpful but took the wrong road name so the recovery driver had to call me to find out where I was. He also sent out a 10 ton truck when he mentioned a 7.5 ton truck. The 10 ton truck was too big to get round my vehicle so this was a problem.
The recovery driver Mark was very helpful and told me that it was a two man job. That's when Steve came to help. The two of them were really helpful and did an excellent job. The recovery was quite hard but they managed to pull it off.
After seeing how much effort it was to recover my vehicle and how it could have all gone wrong I was very lucky to have these two A1 recovery drivers come to help me.
I was expecting a bill/receipt from the company so I asked the recovery drivers. They said the office should call me the next day to confirm the charges. It has been a few days and I have not heard anything so was a bit annoyed by this. I was charged what was quoted for and the extra for the second driver to come out.

From start to finish i could not have asked for a better service. The gentleman that collected my car was helpful and educational in what the issue was, without being patronising. The gentleman that gave me options so there for not ripping me off. I am very happy with the service and will definitely be using them again

Coming back from Winchester on the A34 and the belly pan came off at the front so I managed to strap it up and got it to A1. The were grate considering it was gone 5pm. They wipped it off and are going to refit it in the morning.. never had a problem with the lads there and would recommend them every time. Thank you so much.

I've used this garage for emergency recovery, repairs, MOT, Services and even just for advice too. It is really scary when you know nothing about cars to trust someone to ensure it is one hundred percent safe but also that they won't rip you off, A1 have always made me feel safe and respected and spoken to me in a way that helps me understand what they're doing. They genuinely treat you like they know you personally and that you're important to them, always keeping me in the loop too. Thank you so much

This is a very good garage for recovery and car servicing. I have experience of both. As a disabled female I feel confident and happy in all aspects when using this garage.
Although the office is not wheelchair accessible there is a bell specifically placed to Summon attention. However, normally one of their engineers will have already said hello and obtained help. They have a simple servicing price system and you know exactly what will be included. my garage of choice

Sent by the AA to assist with my overheating vehicle.
The chap that came out was polite, knowledgeable and friendly.
He got me going again in 15/20 minutes and I felt reassured that I could make the remaining 2.5hrs journey home to Kent with my family safely.
Thank you !

We had a terrible experience with A1 when their driver came to collect our vehicle that had been damaged in a no fault accident while parked outside our home.

We had no prior notice that a driver was on the way so hadn't had time to remove our belongings from the vehicle. When he arrived we were ordered to take everything out and then the driver started forcibly removing things from the car and entering our home without permission to put then in.

Our young boys were both screaming and there was no attempt to slow down so that we could tend to them.

Once the car was loaded up, he was rude to my husband, calling him a 'young lad' then refused to provide any paperwork to prove that the car had been collected - then telling us to 'take a picture of it on the truck if we were fussed'.

I have emailed the company and waited almost a week but so far no response.
