My car was recovered on Wednesday 27th after clutch going. Connor was the driver & was very polite, helpful & professional. He is a credit to your company. Thank you for getting us back to Bournemouth safely!

I called Green Flag, my break down service, and Lewis from Westbourne Motors, Basingstoke arrived less than an hour later. He was able to tell me my battery was not holding any charge. He quickly located where to get one and was back in 20 minutes to fit the new battery. Lewis had a very friendly and professional manner. He explained everything he was doing to check why the car had no power.

I am writing this on behalf of my friend Maurice Howells. Thurs 2nd June, we called out green flag, whom Westbourne motors represented. The vehicle having previously been recovered, had been diagnosed with a faulty part. This part was replaced but failed to remedy the fault. Lewis the technician in attendance yesterday plugged in the diagnostic tool, which failed to find either the previous fault or a new one. Lewis keeping us informed as to what he was trying ,finally discovered it was the IMV valve, which has been ordered and will be fitted sometime next week. Just shows you digital diagnostics has its place , but having a person with the right know how and abilities is priceless. Great job Lewis.

Westbourne Motors on the whole were very good (via Greenflag). They were quick to arrive on scene when my clutch went. Waited about 45 minutes for the recovery truck which was very good. They took my car to have the new clutch assembly fitted. They fitted this the next day and everything seems fine. The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is because they didn't answer the phone when I was trying to get an update on the car's progress. I tried several times and ended ringing up another number which was the transferred. I had been promised that they would return the car to the caravan site which they did. Otherwise good service and would recommend to people in their area.

They were informative, helpful and advised me at each stage of the situation with my car and it's recovery. I had no idea of the huge stress on the recovery industry, so having Westbourne Motors support took an incredibly stressful and difficult situation for a variety of reasons and made it doable.

So, Westbourne Motors are great for recoveries, companies like Green Flag and RAC use them, so why 2 stars?

If they're carrying out work on your vehicle, you'd better not be planning on getting your car back on the road with any kind of urgency

So, my car broke down, needed a new water pump, WM came out, diagnosed it, came back the next day with the part, attempted to fit said part only to find they had to remove my timing belt, was told they will pick my car up in the morning, and get it back to me in the evening. They didn't pick it up until 7:15 PM, when I told them this wasn't good enough I was told they will work on my car first thing in the morning. When they told me that they were either intentionally being dishonest with me or their mechanic is just plain terrible at what he does as it took him all day to do half a job. It turned out there was another fault with the car which if they had worked on it first thing as promised, would have been picked up on a lot sooner. They did eventually offer me a courtesy car after I had told them that I was very unhappy with being messed about. It then turned out the second fault was misdiagnosed and I would now get my car back on Monday, Monday came and went and I didn't hear anything, phoned up to ask if it was ready on the Tuesday and was told they weren't going to do the work until the next day. All in all it took them 8 working days to do a couple of hours work on my car.

Bottom line: If you know a decent mobile mechanic, get Westbourne Motors to tow you home and call someone else instead. Unless you like getting messed about and lied to.

Just managed to pull my rear trim off the back of the car and damage around the exhaust. I called Mercedes recovery as I was worried about driving the car. Chris Smith arrived on a very cold, busy night, within the time frame I was given, he managed to put the car back together very quickly and gave me very good advice about how to get the damage fixed. He was cheerful and polite and I am extremely grateful to him for his help.
Thank you Chris!

I had Will attend my car this morning to replace a starter motor and battery. Really friendly and knowledgable and was happy to replace my battery after advising I needed a new one. Good experience with them and will be using them again and recommended
