Excellent garage and outstanding customer service. I have purchased car from Brett and both car itself and customer service recieved were outstanding. I came all the way from Newcastle to find car exactly how described, with no hidden faults etc. Communication with Brett was dead easy as he is always happy to help customer. Great salesman and quality cars. Much recommended👍

I booked a car in for service on behalf of a local pensioner. I dropped the car off early and returned at close of business to find the car had not been serviced.

I was told that "the cars registration number had been written down incorrectly in the job book". This unbelievably dumb excuse was delivered straight faced despite the fact that a) its irrelevant b) the car was sitting outside the office window with the registration clearly visible and c) you have a phone.

Cheers for the wasted day and well done for messing around a pensioner too, awesome job, pat on the back. Your integrity is zero.

In other news, the pensioner voted with their zimmer and you lot are history.

I've used the garage for about 10 years for both of my cars, turned up 10 minutes late for my MOT and promptly got told off and that they couldn't do my MOT.....they made a big song and dance, but then said they could squeeze it in. In the past they have been over an hour late starting an MOT for me, but I didn't say anything as I understood they were busy. Also had a car fail an MOT for numberplate lights, they didn't tell me until I came to collect the car at 4:30.....took me 2 minutes to change them and drive back for a retest. Customer service has gone!

Very helpful. Pleasant, prompt service, straight talking and they treated me as any other customer; that is, they didnt talk down to me as a woman driver. They listened and answered my questions. A good experience, and I will definitely use this garage again.

As a female I worry about being fobbed off and over-priced with any services I may need. However, this garage was recommended to me around 20 years ago and I have used nowhere else since. The technicians are superb, speak in plain English layman's terms and charge fairly for work always well done. They have kept my trusty Merc on the road all this time and, I expect, for many more.

I have an inherent distrust of car garages in all forms, so it was a pleasant surprise to get a really good quality job and service from Hartley Wintney Garage.
My car needed a service, an MOT and it had an engine management light on due to a clogged EGR valve.
The EGR valve gets blocked due to diesel soot and carbon blocking it up over a period of time and I was quoted from other garages £260+ vat to £600+ vat… for the same thing.
I bought an EGR valve replacement from EuroCarParts and planned to ‘have a go’ at replacing it myself but the very reasonable price I was quoted from HWG was enough for me to let the experts do it.
The car was serviced, MOT’d and EGR valve replaced all at the same time and the process went without hitch, drama or hassle.. the advice I was given was professional, accurate and without trying to get more money out of me that I didn’t need to spend. Some garages wanted £50+ vat to tell me what the fault was causing the engine management light to come on, despite already knowing by reading the cars ECU myself.
I have no hesitation in recommending HWG and will definitely go back there with other mechanical work in the future.

I took my BMW to Hartley Wintney Garage after experiencing problems with BMW main dealers. They provided a better service at a more competitive price-point - Polite and friendly, and they kept me up to date with progress while they had my car. I'll definitely be taking my vehicle back next year.
