Deaconcraft garage is run and owned by "Noddy". A Volvo specialist but he repairs/services all makes. Very honest and does not replace parts if your car does not need them! He is very knowledgeable. Give him a try.

I took my 2006 Volvo V70R to Noddy after being asked for £2308.80 for a replacement part (plus labour) for the anti lock brake system from the main dealer. Noddy replaced the broken part of the part with a reconditioned one for all in £230. He is vastly knowledgeable on all Volvos, newer and also some historic ones on his premises under the railway arches. He has all the scanning kit to read the codes etc. He is going to do some body work to keep my car in tip top condition and hopefully will be able to keep this Volvo, which I have owned since new, on the road for many years.

I was luckily introduced to Noddy and he has done two repairs on my old car he is a gentleman and good with all cars. He is reasonably priced and honest. Will continue to use his service. Definitely recommend.

Noddy has just serviced and MOT'd my much loved 940 Celebration which I have had for 25 years. He is a superb, professional technician and his knowledge of Volvos is encyclopaedic. A real pleasure (and relief) knowing that the car is in the hands of an expert. I will be returning next year!

Good and honest mechanic Noddy is and doesn't Charge and arm and a leg for work either

When the ABS/DSTC service message popped-up on my newly acquired 2007 XC70 I was fearing lots of trouble and big bills. Living nearby and influenced by all the positive feedback on Deaconcraft I decided to pay a visit to Noddy to get it checked and sorted. I didn't regret it one bit. The whole thing was sorted for £65 including some bulbs that were about to give up!! Super pro and utterly honest... an official dealer would probably have charged me twice that just for the diagnostic and I can't imagine the cost of the repair! Noddy will definitely have my custom again as I know my XC70 is in really good hands with him!

We couldn't have been more pleased with this place. Its feels like one of a few remaining honesty no frills no nonsense independent repair places in London with fair pricing and a great service. We needed the left hand CX axle drive shaft replaced on a 1994 Volvo 850 estate. We already had already picked up the part which was fine for Noddy although he did offer as an alternative repair which didn't necessitate the part. We turned up and Noddy began work immediately. He complated the repair in 1 hr 15 mins and charged us £60. He also helped us fix some of the rear lights (£3 for the bulbs). Noddy himself is a character and really knows his stuff. Him and his team were repairing a few 1970s volvo classic cars at the same time. Please go out of your way to give noddy custom. His garage is a real gem!
