Decided to shop local and support the local business with a view to having all 4 cars maintained here. Started with my daughters. It needed air con fixing which started with a £30.00 diagnostic resulting in it needing a sensor replaced and the air con regassed. Car was booked in and sensor replaced. My daughter turned up for the car. She was told the air con was not fixed as it has a leak so air con condenser was required which was an additional £400 plus for the part and labour. When asked why not call and say that prior to fitting the sensor as the point of the sensor was to fix the air con and if that couldn't be done there would be no point in proceeding so a call to the customer to ask if they wish to proceed would have been compulsory in my view. Instead a part repair was carried out to the cost of £117.07, that added to the previous diagnostic testing of £30.00 is £147.07 total bill.

Seems the company didn't see fit to call the customer and ask if they should return the part and end the job but instead they decided to proceed anyway and get some money out of this customer.

We are very unhappy with our visit and ultimately won't be bringing our 4 cars here.

What a disappointing outcome when it should have been so very different.

I have checked and the part could have been returned to the dealer usually within a month but I'm sure I'm not telling you something you don't know.
I don't think I've been disrespectful in my review as that was never my intention but I have been factual. As the sensor wouldn't have fixed the cracked air con condenser the repair wasn't really necessary and the car still has no air con but we've paid £150, for nothing. Surely you can understand the upset about this especially as we paid for a diagnostic first.

Also we are always respectful with garages and appreciate the tasks they have in keeping customers happy and vehicles on the road. I'm sorry your angry with us for the review.

We didn't ask for that at all, I wanted air con fixed, I dealt with you via phone calls and not a text.
What has happened can't be undone, I'm also not criticising your business management skills or your garage. I'm sorry you feel it necessary to be so aggressive in your response, I'm simply stating my experience and I haven't advised people to stay away from you. I'm also not the only one whose had a bad experience but there's plenty others who have had positive visits. I wish you well and I won't comment further as I feel this matter is just escalating as you become increasingly angry.

We wont use any other garage. Mark offers acFirst class service from moment you book your car in , I know if Mark tells me i need apart for my car its genuinely going to be the best price possible. We all trust sawings automotive to completely look after our vehicles. 💥💥💥💥💥
Word of advise You may need to book in advance as this garage is in high demand.

Sorted me out really quickly, weren't at all patronising when explaining what the issue might be (even though it must have been obvious I had no idea what they were talking about!)

Reasonably priced as well, will definitely get my return custom if my little car gives me grief again.

Fantastic repair of my A/C system and regas by Mark and the team. Managed to get my air vent temperature down to 2.3 degrees. Just in time for this warmer weather. Fantastic customer service and I highly recommend.

I had an issue where the car would not respond to the instructions from the electronic fob. My local garage could not sort this out and gave me Mark's telephone number. They were confident he could fix it. By the time I got home from my local garage with Mark's number, hubby had spoken to the main dealer and was quoted a staggering amount and a substantial lead-in time to sort this out.

Rang Mark and booked the car in with him. He sorted this out while I was there, hardly any wait. I was on my way in record time.

Friendly, knowledgeable guy. Really impressed.

We were on a day trip when a warning light came on the car about the tire pressure. I found Mark Sawkins' business on Maps and am so glad I did. He saw to us immediately (I had rung ahead to say we were coming) and he knew exactly what he was doing, solving the problem in a few minutes. Staff were welcoming and professional.
