Mechtech

Left my Car in there after being told to either scrap it or engine rebuild or get another engine due to several different problems that I previously had been told by other mechanics. Turns out they found the problem and it was none of the things other mechanics had said. They fixed my car, and 12 months MOT. Ran like a brand new car, so they saved my car but also save me lots of money. Would highly recommend this place. Trustworthy, fair price and they know their stuff.

I found this garage a few years ago and have never looked back since. I don't think in the 27 years of being a driver I have found a more reliable mechanic who does not see pound signs soon you walk through the door, he genuinely is a nice guy that will do his best for you every time, a shining example to all garages and mechanic.

Have had several problems with this garage but to keep it short... The garage was actually broken into while my car was there (later found out it was not the first time this has happened, and is common with the other units near by); I found out by the police rather than the actual garage! Terrible communication - barely ever pick up the phone and found the owner (Bunny) very rude. Not happy with the work that was done on my car. It took weeks to do something relatively simple. Will not be using them again or be recommending to friends and family.

Had the bearings done and came away with a split ball joint. Told me it would cost £30 pounds to to replace ball joints on front left and £30 for front right. Dropped the car off a few weeks later again and 2.5 hours later got a call from bunny saying it was hard work that I should pick up the car and he would do the other side next week. When I got there I was told I would be charged £150 per side. When I reminded him of the conversation we had about £30 per side he said he didn't say that. Had to drive back there the same day as the ABS light was showing a fault on the dash. If I was you I would steer well clear of rogue traders. More trouble than they are worth. Would not recommend.

Really kind and have good effective communication. Fixed some issues on same day and others within the couple days. Would recommend, really took time to listen and deal with issues for a really good price!

My car needed a service, MOT, and oxygen sensor to be done. I was recommended Mechtech by an auto electrician. I found the two gentlemen to be very amiable. I mainly dealt with Les. He explained everything in simple terms so I could understand. The price was very reasonable and the work was done in a day. Both Les and Steve are down to earth gentlemen and I trusted them from the start. I will use them again and would recommend them to family and friends, or to anyone who needs their car repairing /servicing.
