V & V Motors

I didn't even want to give these guys one star.

I am not a person that gets angry, but when I finally picked up my vehicle last night - I actually got angry

1. Phoned up a month ago and booked my vehicle in, and confirmed they were happy to do the work. It was booked in for Thursday last week.

2. Dropped the van off on Wednesday night last week ready.

3. Rang up on Thursday night. Not started work.

4. Rang up Friday. Not started work.

5. Rang up Monday. They had had a look. I said that was OK but I definitely needed it back by the Friday as I was going away in it.

6. Rang up Tuesday. They had ordered the wrong parts and were re-ordering.

7. Rang up Thursday evening (a week after it was due) and got told that they had given up and weren't going to do it. The bloke was very apologetic. It left me with a bit of a problem as I now had to find somewhere to get it fixed within a half day.

I went down to the yard to collect the van - and the bloke was quite rude. He charged me £85 for an oil change which I think is a bit steep, but not the end of the world. He also suggested that it was my own fault for booking the van in with them. I was a bit confused by this, but I did phone up and I did ask them all if they would be able to do the work before I booked it in. He said "No, you didn't, you F***ing told ME that I would take it, not the other way round" - which was just bizarre.

He then went to get the vehicle. When he brought it back, it has a nice big fresh scrape on the nearside rear corner. He denied all knowledge of it. I know it wasn't there when I took the vehicle in. He then said "Well, what do you expect, its basically a builders yard" - he genuinely couldn't have cared less.

I am annoyed enough that I will be seeking advice to take this further.

Don't bother with this company - complete waste of time; they won't do the work on your vehicle, they'll be rude, and they'll damage your vehicle and refuse to accept liabilty or even act like they're sorry...

Definitely one to avoid.

I have used V and V Motors for all my cars including my motorhome. James, Paul and the team have always gone out of their way to explain to me any issues, recommend the best solution and have remained courteous and pleasant throughout the years. I would highly recommend them! They are very reasonably priced too. If you want a good, thorough job, reasonable prices with down to earth people...this is your place. Thanks V&V!!

If additional work needs doing over and above the initial quote (rarely) you will receive a phone call first so there are no nasty surprises. Paul was able to accommodate me without notice and job was completed while I waited. Will use V & V again.

Very friendly amd efficient service to replace my rear brake pads in kess than 90 mins

Fixed a gear box issue (semi automatic) that some other mechanics wouldn’t touch. Friendly and professional and got the van back quicker than expected. Really pleased. Will be using these guys from now on. Highly recommend.
