I took my 1998 S-Type V8 jaguar for a gearbox change and the guys needed to take off some seized bolts that had been on the car for about 15 years....No problems. They did all this and fitted the new gearbox within a day and a half. Fully tested, new oil, gaskets and filter. I picked the car up later in the afternoon and it was awesome. No probs, drives like it came out the showroom. These guys are top drawer mechanics, they know what they are doing and I'd recommend them all day long. Price was well worth it and they are NOT rip off merchants, far from it. If you have an auto transmission or manual gearbox go here every time and tell all your friends, they are the best in my eyes. A brilliant and professional experience and service.

This is the worst company I have ever come across please do not use them!! My Range Rover has a fault which was under warranty with AA they told me that signature would collect on a transport and fix the issue within a few day. A lady arrived at my door to DRIVE my car 110 miles to their garage and I was told if I wanted a transporter there could be a cost of £600 if it wasn’t a valid claim and that I should let her take the car otherwise I could be facing a large bill for them to just look at it. 2 weeks later I finally got my car back well overcharged Land Rover have since quoted me cheaper plus they bought the car back in empty even after the AA promised it would be returned how it left. If the AA try to send your car there please insist on another garage between them they are just ripping people off! Niall i found extremely rude and unhelpful doesn’t care about the customer.

All staff at the garage were really helpful and Niall helped me understand exactly what was going to happen with my ECU and timeline for repairs. Great service also offering to collect and return the car and a fraction of the price of Audi main dealers. The lady on the phones was really helpful and kept me updated on repairs. Highly recommend offering real value for money.

Audi main dealer couldn’t diagnose the fault. Called Niall at STL who collected the car, diagnosed it, stripped the transmission down, sent me pics, fixed it and returned the car to me all in less time than Audi had the car for......and for a quarter of the price. Absolutely top quality service and pleasure to deal with.

I have to say these guys are brilliant at what they do, even with the delays in parts because of the current COVID-19 situation, they repaired my car in pretty quick time and were always professional, even when I was calling them every other day for an update, Niall gave me a clear view of what stage of the repair my car was at and let me know straight away when some parts were delayed. They are good value for money compared to main dealer prices, I would highly recommend them to anyone that has problems with an automatic gearbox.

Horrendous experience. The car was collected under instruction of dealership for headlight sensor repair under AA warranty. Not heard from Signature or dealership for 2 weeks, when started chasing for update was told they cannot repair the issue and asked me to pay excessive amount for diagnostics they supposedly carried out not discussing with me what’s being done or potential costs. Later reduced their charge to £562 (part was supposedly covered by the AA) which I paid to have the car back unrepaired. It was returned with completely flat battery (??new battery fitted 2 months ago??) and flat tyre. Shocking that businesses like that exist!

A fast, reliable and professional service from all at signature transmissions. I had several problems with my VW Golf and was getting extremely frustrated with a local dealer who kept returning it with different faults. I then put it into Signature Transmissions who turned it around in a timely manner with all faults rectified. Highly recommended.
