I dropped my camper off at 09:00 and I received a call from the manager around lunchtime informing me that they were still working on my van and they had been unsuccessful making the adjustment while the structs were still on the vehicle. I became concerned as the basic research I had conducted said that, the front struts must be removed from the vehicle to make any adjustment. Also, the other companies had quoted 1.5 hour of labour to carry out the same work. However, they were the so called "suspension specialist ". I was also informed that the additional time would be added to my bill.
The van was finally completed late afternoon. I was told the additional time was due to the adjustment rings being seized and that I needed to pay the additional cost. I found this hard to believe as the suspension was brand new and decided to travel to it a VW Transporter specialist for a second opinion.
They found the suspension adjustment rings to badly damaged. The photos would suggest that they were attacked with a hammer and chisel whilst the structs were under load ( remained on the vehicle). The VW Transporter specialist told me that they were no evidence of the adjustment rings being seized and it would be very unlikely due to being new and a genuine bilstein product.
I decided to contact Jason the owner at Parc garage to provide him with the opportunity to put things right, and sent him a complaint email along with photographic evidence of the findings.
Dispite previously admiting that they in the first instance, they did not remove the suspension struts and as a consequence failed to make adjustment, Jason denied all accountability to the damage and blamed the damage on seized adjustment ring.
I made a very reasonable request for half of the inflated bill be returned to compensate for the damage and inconvenience however, this was refused with a very rude comment that "I was taken advantage " .
Not only was my brand new vehicle damaged ( making any future adjustment very difficult ) but I was changed over double the cost which our companies quoted to carry out the work for the pleasure !
It is evident that Parc garage was not confident in carrying out the work on my vehicle or a suspension specialist and the management lack the any integrity to rectify issues which they have evidently caused.
It goes without saying, do not trust this company or their services.
Unfortunately it appears I am unable to upload photos to accompany my review.
Quality work at reasonable prices.
Highly recommend.
