After living with an unknown issue with my car for years, I finally broke down on the way to Welshpool and had recovery sent out (from another garage) who looked over our problem and diagnosed a new alternator was needed. He called a recovery truck who confirmed the problem and estimated a possible bill of £450 + labor and brought us to our destination.
I found this garage by chance and stopped in to ask if there was anyway they could have a look and diagnose the problem and estimate a cost (by this time we had charged the battery but it wouldn't even attempt to start, so we thought the starter motor may be broken too). We were dreading the estimate and started looking around to buy another car thinking it may be cheaper.
Well they found the problem and it cost a grand total of £75!!! Not only did they fix the alternator and starter motor problem, but also the unknown issue (which the other garages all thought could be the turbo). It has been in and out of different garages to the tune of hundreds of pounds and never got the unknown issue fixed!!
Well recommended, obviously a very thorough garage. Many thanks, very happy with the service.

We were holidaying just outside Welshpool at Valley View Holiday Park, when on the way there the battery light came on and the computer flashed up "Workshop - Alternator". Having no idea what garage to use in Welshpool for help, I looked at the Google ratings and reviews for garages in Welshpool. Powysland came up and showed good ratings and some very complimentary reviews, so I gave them a call and the owner (Anthony) was very helpful on the phone and asked me to bring it in for him to have a look at, which I did and I left it with him to fix. He diagnosed that the alternator was the issue and fitted a new one for me. Excellent service and value for money. Car now running fine and we have just returned home from a "very wet weeks vacation in Powys" . But on a cheerier note I would definitely recommend Powysland.
