Manning's Bakers

Visited yesterday 9/1/2017 at 9:15am. Requested mushrooms on brown barm and sausage on white. Also one tea and one coffee to take away. No brown bread or barm cakes till lunch time so ordered mushrooms on white barm. Whilst making the drinks woman tells us that the milk has gone off so no brews. Get sandwiches to eat in car a few yards away, both sandwiches freezing cold, absolutely awful. Also noticed none of the staff wore gloves and girl who served me was sneezing and scratching her hands with her nails whilst serving up my sandwich. Give this "bakery" a miss. Poor hygiene and I`m sure that food has to be a required temperature when it is served.

Warning ! If there's a mop placed in the middle of the floor and the shop is open then go in at your peril , I did and was looked and spoken too like I'd fallen off someone's shoe by a lady shop assistant . the truth is I'm more annoyed at myself for apologising at the time . Can I suggest the shop at least starts using wet floor signs before they get sued ,keep front of shop attended or lock the door while the floor is wet and try and not talk to customers like they are your worst enemy even if they have walked on your wet floor, after all they only pay the wages .

I used to get a ciabata from here for breakfast every morning. They're so big they always saw me right through to tea no problem.

Nice pies, but never have brown bread in stock. Good overall.

Lots of choice of sandwiches, pies cakes etc.very friendly staff,very clean premises.

Also use the shop in Rawtenstall, great pies, and sausage rolls.

Fantastic bakery. Everything I have bought has been excellent. Just wish I lived closer!

I love Manning's. You can always guarantee great quality, filling food at a reasonable price. The shop is always busy, with their friendly staff working flat out every time I visit.
It would be nice to see more hands on deck behind the counter to help with food prep so that they could be even more efficient at serving their loyal customer base.
