This bakery has brought a weekly smile to my face during lockdown. The quality of their bread is consistently high, tasty, flavoursome & a great texture. Expensive? - good ingredients & slower processes cost more than bread that’s full of air & nasty additives. The bread freezes well so good for slicing, & freezing.

You saved our wedding! With 10 days to go before our wedding our caterer let us and our 150 guests down. Panic mode struck and the Coffee Kitchen saved the day! They provided exactly what we wanted a great selection of goodies for our wedding breakfast and an amazing chilli for the evening. The guests loved it all. The service was just amazing and you went beyond when you saw drinks were getting low and even went to get some more for us! Thank you is not enough.

Amazing bakery where you can request something that might not be ordinarily on the menu. Also theirs a good selection of sandwiches, but on a number of occasions someones wanted one that has sold out or just hasn't been on offer normally, if your willing to wait obviously a few minutes, they will specially go and make your sandwich, the coffee is awesome, I guess my only criticism and downside for me at least, is the payment system and method, unless your paying with cash witch is your best bet, as paying by card can often have issues, painfully slow and sometimes not even complete the transaction, it just seems a real faff sadly, but that is my only criticism and if you pay with cash their wont be any issues, until they get a better card machine or system.

Came across this bakery today when out exploring Cockermouth and were attracted by the wonderful smell of bread baking on the premises. Delicious filled rolls and cakes which we ate outside with a cup of tea. Smashing service, excellent food and drink and a lovely setting to enjoy our lunch. Definitely recommend! Just a shame we are on holiday otherwise would use weekly for bread.

Fantastic bakery, West Cumbria has far too few anyway, but this one would still be one of the best. Lovely croissants and the malted granary loaf is really tasty.

The early bird catches the croissants, opens at 8 if you like your sourdough bread fresh from the oven. Real good bread.
