Good choice of croissants, crispy and fresh.

I would recommend the chocolate and almond croissant, interesting combo. Also, the blueberry custard brioche is great too.

Coffee is good but not great, there are some independent stores nearby with better tasting coffee.

Amazing place to grab a quick bite and then head to Holland park. The coffee was great and has great variety. But their most amazing offering was their chocolate chunk cookie. Great portion size as compared to the price.
Really great value for money.
Highly recommended to anyone out and about in the Kensington High street area.

When the shop originally opened, they used to make a lovely olive sourdough bread which had plenty of black and green olives. Fast forward the clock a few years and the olives have just about disappeared. You can hardly taste them. What has changed in addition to the quality is the price, by quite a substantial amount. Very poor and after I have tried a few times, just to see if it was a one off, will not be going back.

1. Loads of people and long queue
2. Small portions
3. No menus available for reading anywhere else than on the wall, what was the problem for me (forgot the glasses so couldn’t read it from the distance, there was long queue so felt pressure on selecting the food quick 🙈)

Pros:
1. Food is tasty even though small
2. Nice service

The Avocado Toast and Baked eggs were delicious, but the Blueberry and Custard Tart was disappointing. It looks much better than it tastes. However Great Coffee and Quick Service always makes Gails a good choice.

Situated at the very beginning of High Street Kensington, Gail’s presents, in itself, an ideal family bakery. With queues swirling outside and the indulgent smell of freshly made patisserie luring you in, Gail’s never fails to leave your tastebuds satisfied. My go to order is always their soft yet flavourful latte and a warm almond croissant. We mustn’t forget about the Gail’s loyalty cards which treats you to a free cup of coffee or sourdough loaf on your tenth purchase of said item.
