Chatwins - Upton

We had full breakfast with a tea and a coffee. The food was excellent, of very special note was the "door step" toast. In fact it was all very good. I enjoy good coffee and the Americano with milk was exceptional. I will return just to sit with a news paper, coffee and thick cut toast.

Food was nice but was poorly put together. Had a sandwhich. I wasn't acknowledged when I walked in the shop for a minute or so.. clean. Parking opposite

Really nice shop with great staff who are always happy, friendly and helpful.

Food is lovely and the staff are always very pleasant. Would recommend.

I usually love the upton chatwins and would give it 5 stars, but today was an exception. Ordered the usual pork bap as the cut is always great and they load on the apple sauce and stuffing. For £5.50 i expect the quality i always get but today it was disappointing. I received near to no apple sauce and a tiny amount of stuffing compared to what i normally get (keep in mind i ask for a lot). So this was again a disappointment for the price and i hope i dont experience it again.

Had the steak pie today it was perfect,the pastry was lovely,there was enough meat and gravy.The tomato soup and bread was nice too.

Need to train junior staff a bit better. Senior staff on our visit didn't intervene to assist.

Best Chatwins in Chester by far. Staff are always so helpful and polite. I go out of my way to visit this one. Always a great selection on offer too!
