Update 27 march 2022
Really love chocolate dessert. It’s not too sweet, not dry inside. Perfect I think. Adding extra stars for this. ⭐️⭐️

1. For take away they think can give you anything. But i went back. They gave us for scones buttery top layer and not cream.
2. The scone wasn’t ready and i had to go back again.
Food in overall low quality for high price.
It’s not 1st time I’m disappointed with this place. Would not give low star if it happened only once or it was my 1st visit. This is reoccurring and i had enough so was time to give a review.

Visited Gail's in the Cut today for brunch/lunch. Lovely meal and great staff. We collected our meal from the open kitchen when it was ready as we were starving and the staff were extremely busy at that point. Not a problem at all, but a very friendly staff member came over to apologize and rewarded us with two free pastries. How considerate was that! Many thanks!

Early Sunday morning experience, absolutely delightful! The best plain scone I have ever experienced and my partner had a cinnamon swirl (don't think Starbucks) out of this world in all honesty. My 5 year old son had simple sourdough toast with butter and jam, said it was the best jam he ever had. He loves food.

Seen a couple of average reviews but my weekend trip from Scotland was definitely helped by a lovely breakfast visit.

Lovely little cafe. The coffee is nice. The sausage roll was far more delightful than any others I've had recently. The chocolate croissant was the definition of flakey buttery layers. And, despite the line, everything came up really fast!

I am a fan of Gail's food on the whole. This visit was really disappointing. Sullen member of staff, barely warm drinks and the size of the sausage rolls has definitely shrunk. And, don't put a tray of madeleines out on the counter and not expect people to think they are for trying free. Don't be rude to customers who ask if they are or charge people who help themselves! Your prices are not cheap and feeling insulted as a customer is not how I expect to feel after spending £12 on a snack and drink.

Disappointed. Usually Gail’s charges a large amount extra to eat in which I’m fine with because of the table service, but my order (which was not hot enough) was called out unclearly, meaning it was left on the counter. The toilet had the cord for disabled people was unsafe, unreachably tied up. They were understaffed and we were disappointed with what we paid for. Go to a different Gail’s, or a different cafe!

This is my local Gail’s and I usually love coming here. The opening times at this store are completely unreliable, and as someone who can just barely make the very odd 7:15 opening time before work, it is frustrating when even this is inconsistent. I have not had this experience at other Gail’s, and I wonder if anything can be done about the inconsistency with opening hours.
