Have been ordering cake here from the last 3 years and would recommend highly to anyone looking for the perfect moist chocolate cake. Shamina’s chocolate ganache is my favourite and so are her special banana cupcakes! Great attention to detail on the cake designs too.

I wanted a special cake baked for my parents 40th Ruby Anniversary. After searching on Instagram one evening I noticed Mina had designs which were understated but beautiful. I basically wanted a cake which tasted good but wasn't too fussy. She not only baked a delicious cake but designed a lovely Ruby red cake with pampas grass and faux flowers and added a special message on top. The vintage, bespoke cake looked the part on the head table alongside black and white pictures from my parents wedding day. I also got so many messages from families who we distributed the cake to and in their own words "It was the best cake they have ever tasted" which says it all really. Definitely will recommend Mina because she was professional, punctual and attentive to my needs.

Mina communicated quickly and professionally. She was so helpful with flavours and designs ! I wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted done but I gave her a bit of a direction and she pulled out the most amazing birthday cake I’ve ever seen. She also personalised it and had extra decorations on the cake which were beautiful. Not to mention the cake was genuinely the best I’ve ever tasted, I had the chocolate with salted caramel icing, I’m not usually the biggest chocolate cake fan but I could not stop eating this ! It stayed moist for so long as well which was perfect because it was huge ! Highly recommend for a special occasion 🤩🤩🤩🤩

My experience was great! I ordered a birthday cake for my 3 year old son and I wanted a more traditional cake, with fruit toppings not sugary decorations. Something sweet but not too much and not bland at the same time. Shamina was very helpful and kind, she gave me some ideas and answered all my questions. She was also flexible and made the cake for the day before than I initially asked for but later changed my mind (I decided to make the party on Sunday instead of Monday) I chose a chocolate-strawberry cake with Swiss meringue and berries on top.It smelled lovely on the way home and made my mouth watering that I actually couldn’t wait myself to try it. The cake was delicious, sweet but not nauseating, and full of flavour, very smooth with a little chocolate chunks here and there in the sponge. The sponge was fluffy and moist.The icing and mascarpone cream between layers, with little strawberry bits were amazing too. Altogether a perfect, beautiful combination. It went very well with the fruits on the top. The birthday boy loved it and asked for more twice later during the party. He was also excited about the Lightning McQueen topper which Shamina has personalised for him too :) the rest of us also enjoyed the cake and we all agreed it was very tasty. Even my partner liked it and ate a second portion in the evening, which is unusual as he’s not really into birthday cakes but he said it was indeed very nice. We still have some left for tomorrow which I am looking forward to to have with my coffee. I have also given some to my sister to have at home. I am sure we will order in the future as the cake really was amazing and exceeded my expectations. I would certainly recommend Cakes by Mina to everyone.

Got a cake for my baby's gender reveal and it was absolutely perfect! The colours, the taste and everything about the cake. Definitely recommended baker!
