Visiting Llangollen when we came across Chatwins. Lovely smell lured us in. Busy shop but fast service. We stayed in the seating area for a snack. My sausage roll came with all the trimmings. Teapot etc on its own dish. Definitely recommend it here.

Food was nice, staff could be more welcoming but the coffee was very good. Scrambled egg was fluffy and cooked well.

Stopped by for a coffee and bite to eat, the roast beef in Yorkshire pudding was amazing! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. And the cakes and pastries were very tasty (brought a few things home) definitely recommend if you fancy a change from fish and chips!

We visit Chatwins every year when we visit Llangollen. They make great sandwiches, pasties and pies etc. However, every time we visit there is never any meat left on the carvery, even today when we arrived at lunchtime. Would be a lot better if they fixed this.

Nice place to stop off for something to eat and drink, clean and tidy. Plus book shop upstairs. Friendly staff.

It’s actually very impressive how bland they can make their food! It’s a genuine talent, hence the extra star.

Terrible Customer service.

Went to Chatwins for coffee and cake with my family (2&6yr olds) on a cold January morning. We ordered to eat inside which was fine although we were served in paper cups not crockery (Others in the cafe were similar), I went and ordered an additional cake to eat at home and rejoined my family. I was then followed by a member of staff and told to leave as I hadn't paid to sit inside even though I had previously ordered to eat inside (Note Cake was bought to consume out of the cafe, member of staff was informed of this when I got challenged purchasing it). We clearly asked to sit inside when we ordered, so if an error has been made it's on the staff's behalf. When we mentioned this when we were challenged it was ignored and we were told that others had paid to sit inside. I won't be going back and if we haven't paid the correct rate in error I hope Chatwins do the honourable thing and contact HMRC to inform them of selling takeaway but letting people sit inside.
