Emerald Thieves Band

We booked the Emerald Thieves band for our wedding in 2016! Wow absolutely tremendous live band!!!! They will get everyone dancing and jigging along and play many requests... props to our first dance song! Rob & Anna are the nicest of people and have been to see them multiple times after the wedding. Fully Recommended

We had The Emerald Thieves play our wedding at Beamish Hall in August 2018 and they were top class throughout. Everybody commented on how good the band were. A great mix of music and a lovely bunch, they even got me and one of the lads up to jam with them. Whether it's a wedding, bar mitzvah or just a night down the pub, highly recommended.

The Emerald Thieves are not just a 5-star band, but an exceptional group of people who love what they do and who I've seen go out of their way time and time again to provide the very best entertainment for their audiences. They drove to Germany to play at my wedding 6 years ago and to this day family and friends still remind me how much they enjoyed the band and the atmosphere they created. Since then I've seen them play at friends weddings (who booked them having seen them at our own), as well as numerous local gigs and charity events. They never fail to fill the dance floor and their range of genres means they can play to any audience and never disappoint. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Wow, now over five years ago since the Emerald Thieves played for us at our wedding. What an experience these guys gave us, really made the our day into something what we could only ever dream of.

Their performance started with a string quartet as Dawn came down the stairs to the great hall. This set the tone for the entire day, the soft classic tones ensures that not only Dawn Was relaxed but the entire room of family and friends were also relaxed too.

Well after the wedding breakfast we were on the count down waiting for the band to start. All I can remember is Gary keep running down into the basement and coming back up to me and the guests shouting you’re all gonna loves these and running back down to listen to the sound check. Great memories.

A few months previous we started with the set list, we must admit this is when the real excitement began from us as we sent many emails to Rab and the band for choices and their thoughts on what we wanted; it made the experience from start to finish exciting and also feeling special.

On the wedding night well they played and played and played and every song they played was as good as the original performers. And I don’t think I have the words to express how the night went and how all of the guests reacted to the band playing. Magical experience created by some very talented musicians. Five years down the line and the wedding band is still talked about by all of our friends and family.

Having listened to friends and their experiences with other weddings, ours always comes out on top and we truly believe this was down to the Emerald Thieves. After much deliberation we come to a conclusion that we basically robbed them on the price.

And to top off the evening they even managed to get Gary up singing.....

The Emerald Thieves are simply the best!! Guaranteed to give you a brilliant night out. They are amazing musicians and lovely people who have a huge repertoire of music - so something for everyone. Catch them whenever you can and if you are looking for a band for your function, book them now!

I can only say, the craic, humour and just real all round niceness of this band just exceeds everything except how musical they are, any request for a song is usually met with an extreme drive to play it. Anybody lucky enough to book this band will not be disappointed. During lock down, they have played from home, not only during difficult times for everybody else but, also for themselves. Professional, talented and just all round Nice guys. By the way, always request 'My Lovely Horse' from the Father Ted TV show, this song, has defined the whole lock down experience, funny and a song, that nobody would ever and I mean ever, would expect to be a hit with crowds, you won't be able to get it out of your head. I really hope you will be lucky enough to see this band yourselves.

I hired Emerald Thieves to play my 21st Birthday Party in 2011, having been introduced to them through close family friends - after they had hosted the Thieves at their housewarming & later wedding parties.

As a family, we try to follow the Thieves at their public gigs in the area as much as possible as we are always guaranteed an excellent night of professional-grade entertainment.

The Emerald Thieves are an exceptionally professional band, carrying all their own top-quality equipment that can fill the smallest & largest of venues. Their eclectic mix of traditional Irish music as well as modern pop, rock & party covers are guaranteed to get the audience up dancing from the first number. The sound is always crisp, clean & well-balanced - with every instrument clearly audible without blowing the windows out.

All I will say is, there is a reason that these guys always have an exceptionally busy calendar. 5* every time.

Emerald thieves are a remarkable band, with the rare combination of professionalism, flexibility, and great humour. They also happen to be exceptional people.I've seen them many times at different events, including recent online gigs, put on by the Thieves to entertain their friends and others during lockdown.
