In Watford for just 1 night working.
Decided to eat here and what can I say it was outstanding.
The staff could not of been more friendly.
The food was amazing and so much of it.
Top class place and will be returning.

Delicious food and great service. We had to leave suddenly due to a personal issue, the staff helped us pack our food into take out boxes and rush out quickly. We got to enjoy our food properly later and it was 10/10

Best Bangla food in Watford. I've tried the majority of the alternatives in the area, some highly rated. None come close to SL. Non obtrusive, efficient service and high quality, well spiced, generous portions. I can only guess the negative reviews are: 1) not based on food quality. 2) disgruntled competitors. 3) individuals who prefer style over substance (yes, these people exist unfortunately).
Keep up the good work, this should be a local staple for anyone who likes a good curry.

Shame about the service the food was nice. Waiters felt like they were doing us a favor, had to ask for drinks, no one checked if we enjoyed the food, the restaurant only had a couple of tables occupied. Not as though they were busy. We had to ask for coffee, didn't leave a tip. Want be going there again.

This place is so expensive, double than other Indian restaurant in Watford. Felt like we were in central. The quality is not matching the price either. Oily food rice slightly uncooked.. taste wasn't there either. Won't be returning

We have used the spice lounge a lot for takeaways but this time we visited. The food is always good. They have a wide selection on the menu and plenty of options for vegetarians. The restaurant is not large, but nevertheless, we were not disrupted by the takeaway service. Something that sadly is often the case these days with all the various delivery companies lining up! the service was fast and attentive. The restaurant is close to church parking as while in theory you could park in the road, it's not much of a reality. We visited prior to going to the Palace Theatre and it is open early enough to do so, and it is only a short walk to the theatre. I recommend a visit!
