I was spending the weekend in Loch Lomond and wanted to try a local restaurant, after looking on Google I noticed that The Stables came out on top with the best reviews, so after a quick phone call we left our hotel and headed into Balloch, they are located in the city centre and have on site parking available which does get quite busy.

The restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating available, the staff are so friendly and down to earth willing to answer any question and go the extra mile. Myself & my Girlfriend ordered the chicken goujons, which is usually a go to for us when we see it on a menu. It was really busy but the food was served in no time at all and tasted delicious, no meal is complete without desert, so a banana boat & a chocolate fudge cake sounded just what we were after. Once again served in no time at all considering they were really busy. All in all our experience was great: from the food to the really friendly staff it will definitely make us go back for more!

We had a very late lunch and the staff still accommodate us. The food was homemade and very delicious! The sticky toffee pudding was really yummy and the fish as well. The pudding looked really good as well but I couldn't wait to eat it so that's why there's no picture of it 😅 very friendly staff as well!

Lovely place, great warm service and the staff were so friendly. I went for the Turkish menue which was delicious 😋. I didn't take pictures of all the food, but I ordered pizza too for the kids and I really loved the base, It's wood fired and tasted amazing.
For dessert I had the Baklava, my favourite 😍

If I could give this place 0 stars then I definitely would, absolute disgrace of a place. I received a order which wasn't cheap only to get a dog dinners! Lasagne looked like pedigree chum in white sauce! I would never recommend anyone to eat here, nearly 2 weeks on and I still don't have my refund, been told by the manager its up to uber eats, despite the fact THEY took the money

Wasn't what we expected as other revues had said the food was fantastic. We didn't find it to be anything special, just very basic pub grub. Interior didn't look anything like the website pictures. Pleasant staff, served quickly

I don't say this lightly, best steak pie i have ever had. We visited as a group of 8 after touring the Balloch side of loch lomond. They attended to to every request and exceeded expectation, staff were amazing. Kept kids fed with some complimentary garlic bread while food was being prepped. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

A descent, welcoming and friendly roundabout inn. The staff are very kind and nice. The food is okay. It is probably best to stay away from the crème brulé desert as it tasted stale and out of place. Also the burgers had few bits of gristle. We are giving 2 stars because the food had some issues and some of the photos look much better than they actually are. Overall, it was an okay experience but there is room for improvement.

One of the best steak in Scotland.

We have been there with a group of six and all of us delighted with the service, atmosphere and the food itself.

Definitely, a must go.
