Having been coming to Alt Barbers for about a year now and regularly having Kev cut my hair. Great results every time. The new shop has been done up to a great standard and the team are always welcoming, very knowledgeable and happy to offer advice. Highly recommended.

Being a lady, I hadn’t been to a barbers before so I was a bit nervous when I went in for the first time. The guys at the till were really welcoming and I’ve been well looked after by Ralph since my first appointment. Ralph is moving branches, but made sure I would be left in good hands after the move.

Nice, chilled atmosphere :)

I've been getting my hair cut by one of the senior barbers (Glenn) for over a year. Best barber I've ever been too. Good atmosphere, decent music.

As a trans guy I get real nervous to go into barbers but I've had one of the best hair cuts in a very long time! Got seen by Wayne. Even though i arrived 20 mins early i got seen straight away. Wayne was bloody good, gave me a fantastic cut and was generally a really good experience! 100% recommend !

I have been to this barbers multiple times over the last few months, and the shop itself is top notch, most definitely the best I have ever been to.
I have never had a bad experience here and everyone is friendly and polite and the shop itself is clean and professional. Although I have never had the pleasure of recieving a haircut from anyone apart from Wayne I can safely say I have never seen anybody leave with a bad haircut.

I personally get a haircut on a weekly basis and everytime I do I always get my hair cut by Wayne who has been cutting my hair for around 2 years now, and I can honestly say he is hands down one of the best barbers around, his communication with myself and his other clients is outstanding and he always insures I get what I ask for, he has immaculate barbering skills and his attention to detail is second to none.

Cleaness 4/5
Friendliness 5/5
Haircut quality: 2/5

I had very high hopes checking out this place but 2 weeks later went to Wacky Barber to get my hair tidied after Wayne messed it up (St Albans).

It seemed ok when I left the place (but devil in details). The right side was nice so Wayne is definitely capable to deliver, however the fringe was inconsistent, the left side and the top was all over the place. It would have taken another 10 minutes to get the job done right but there wasn't any intention to check the lenght of the hair at different places - utter carelessness.

Bitterly disappointed.

I was super nervous about going to a barber in a new city as a trans-masc person. Sam was super lovely and did exactly what I wanted, and I didn't feel at all out of place being there. I also really liked the big waiting area so I didn't feel like the next person was being rushed. I think they could improve a little bit on their trans inclusivity bc Sam did mention about me having "women's hair" at one point but overall it was a really positive experience, and I'd recommend Sam to other transmasc people
