Bit of a mixed bag this place, it’s a coin flip whether you get a decent service. One particular member of staff I avoid like the plague here based on experience (unfair the mention name) has real chip on his shoulder. My latest experience was them being 30mins late, being sent to wait and watch the staff build flat pack furniture. It’s more like a student house than a professional business. Everyone seems to be self employed and occasionally will insist on cash payment even though card is available.

Terrible service. Turned up for my son's appointment only to be told that as they were running late they wouldn't be able to fit him in. Apparently his hair was too long for a 30 minute under 16 appointment. His hair doesn't even reach his collar! They were running late and couldn't be bothered to do it.

That's another customer that won't be coming back.

Good haircut, although I have to say Luke’s warmth, enthusiasm and all-round bubbly personality were at times almost too much!

An excellent place to get a haircut. I had Liam who made my hair look the best that it has in a while. Everyone is friendly and I was always asked what I wanted for different parts of my hair with explanations for how I should best style it going forward and why he was cutting a certain way. I always go here for my haircuts in Durham.

My son was very disappointed with his hair. He’ll not go back, the guy didn’t listen to what he wanted.

I recently visited House of Gentleman after another barbers butchered my hair cut. Luke and the whole team were so supportive and instantly made me feel more calm and safe in their hands. Luke did a phenomenal job rescuing my hair and left me with a cut that was brilliant and left my feeling much more confident than I had entered feeling. He spent a lot of time making sure my hair was finished well and still charged less than the barber who had got it so wrong to begin with! Cant rate highly enough - I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else in the future!

Absolutely love the place! Best haircuts I've ever got and the barbers talk you through what they're doing so you're aware the whole way. Added bonus of great background music. I'd highly recommend this place, the prices might be higher but the quality is unmatched!

Had a last min appointment booked in and all the staff went out of their way to ensure I was happy with brilliant service!

Even though it was late in the day Liam absolutely sorted me out!
Really happy with the finished look, Liam really provided an incredible standard. He and the staff set a great atmosphere.
Absolutely solid guy and the whole staff are brilliant!
