Very nice barbers and very friendly, however £15 for a gents haircut is certainly towards the higher end of 'barbers rates'. I was slightly disappointed that the complimentary hair wash which is advertised was not offered at any point. For this price I would also expect the cut to be finished properly with the use of cut throat razor round the edges rather than leaving the edges somewhat untidy.

In conclusion I thought it was expensive for what was offered.

Friendly, helpful and welcoming.

I didn't really know what I wanted so I asked for advice and a guy called Stevie gave me some really good tips, he also gave me a great haircut and a brilliant wet shave.

Would recommend, ask for Stevie!

Got there just as they were about to close but Stevie still served me😊. Very friendly and gives awesome fades 👌👌👌 really good barber! Can definitely see them getting more popular.

I always come here for my haircuts now. The design and aesthetic of the place is great, nice and modern. The people who work there are really nice as well and very helpful so you definitely feel welcome. I get my hair done by a guy called Matt and he always give me a good trim. I should mention that you do need to be careful about what time you get there because they do get really busy very quickly and waiting times can be long however that's because they do give each customer great care and attention. So yeah I definitely recommend this place.

Overall, my opinion is Gents Barbering is overpriced for the service given; there's a lack of attention and they are making false claims on their website. The service and experience of what is offered and expected falls far short of what is actually received.

I first went in Friday 2nd November, at about 3:20pm, but was told they were too busy. So, I asked to make an appointment. Having read the Gents Barbering website, I asked for a haircut and shave with hot towel. The young man who took my appointment assured me I could get all this on Monday 5th at 10am for £25. I expected to pay more like £30, but he said "no, it will be £25".

When I arrived at 9:50 on Monday 5th November, a man who presumably owns/manages the shop was just leaving. One customer was being seen to by a presumably senior stylist; another customer entered after me and sat down, presumably to wait for the senior stylist. A younger man was standing at the back of the shop eating a take away breakfast.

At about 3 minutes past 10, I enquiried about my 10am appointment. The senior stylist called to "Shaun" the young man at the back. He said in a begrudging tone "Oh, OK, I'll have to finish my breakfast later" and came to tell me where to sit.

I was not offered the complementary hair wash, as stated on their website. I told the young barber that I'd like a shorter haircut with a bit of style. I also enquiried about the shave, which I had booked on Friday but Shaun told me he didn't know how to do it and there was only one person trained to do it, and he (obviously) wasn't there at that time.

Shaun told me that their website is out of date, as the claim that the owner trains students at Dunstable College is untrue, as he's not working at Gents Barbering anymore.

The haircut was OK but not worth £15. Shaun did offer me to rebook for a free hot towel shave but I haven't got time just to go in for a shave.

Tried to get a hair cut twice now and turned away both times. Says they close at 6, but anything after 4.45 seems to be a no. I'm sure they do a good job, just can't get them to do one.

As a black man I am very particular when it comes to barbers cutting my hair, as are most. At Gents you have a wide variety of barbers more than comfortable cutting and fading white and black hair (other races are available 😂) Also I love that the shop is owned and run by a local lad I had the pleasure of knowing and watching grow up

Well - turned up for a prebooked appointment only to find the guy not even there. The young lad there said he’d noticed the appointment earlier in the morning and contacted the person in question to tell them they had an appointment booked for that day, but never even bothered contacting him back.

48 hours later not a peep from them in regards to what happened or even an apology. Cost me money in a taxi as well.
