I like how my barber communicates their next steps and suggestions of ideas about your preferred haircut just the way you want it done. Always left feeling satisfied. Cats are welcome I think.

Best barbershop in Oxford. I got a couple trims already and I can assure that there is an exceptional perfection in every trim. Plain barbers also count with excellent prices for the service given, in my case I’m on a student budget and still get a trim here every two weeks. Would totally recommend if you’re looking for high quality trims at a low price with an immaculate service, this is definitely the place to go. 10/10

I have been regularly going to The Plain Barber Shop for about a year and I am always more than completely satisfied with the cut I get and the quality and professionalism of the friendly staff and their passion about what they do. The place always looks clean, tidy and well cared for. From the minute I arrive I am greeted with a smile and assured it will not be long until I am in the seat - I am made to feel relaxed and in more than capable hands. They know exactly how I like it cut and remember every time, and the whole way through the cut I am reassured with questions on the progress of the cut. It is definitely worth every penny and I would not go anywhere else.

Been coming to this barber consistently for a few months now after moving to Oxford from London. I can confidently say that they are a great barber. John is clearly very passionate of his work and will take his time to give you the haircut that you want. He's also very friendly and welcoming. Very reasonably priced for the high standard haircut you will receive.

Extremely helpful, competent and friendly barber. After my haircut, I returned home and realized I wanted my hair shorter. I came back to the shop, and the barber was happy to make for free the change I wanted. He even offered me to come back the next day, in case I would still not be happy with the haircut. But there was no need, since the haircut was great.

Very professional, always willing to listen the costumer needs and give advice to get better results. I've seen them performing my partner haircuts with skilful hands. Perfect location, hygienic, it’s nice to enjoy the services they provide while you have a good chat with good music in this family-run business.

The Plain Barber Shop is fast becoming my favourite barbers in Oxford. John has cut my hair twice and both times it was a great cut. He takes his time to get it right & checks his work. The haircuts have been of a consistently high standard & have been a consistent shape and appearance each time. John seems like a really nice guy & we have had some good chats but he will not force conversation either which is also something I appreciate. The shop itself is simple yet inviting & they play decent, chilled music not too loud.

I have tried many of the barbers in Oxford including the more expensive options and so far, I have found that the Plain Barbers gives the best haircuts.
