Stag Barber Shop

Just a beard trim and as it was Christmas, I was seeking some tip top top tips. Which they gave in a really friendly non-judgemental way.

My first visit to this local barbers for a cut and wet shave, called in without an appointment and had a short wait whilst they finished with existing customers. Friendly guys with a very clean and tidy premises, the whole experience was relaxing with a hot towel wet shave following my hair cut. Happy with the service and the price, I will be back again soon.

Always nervous about new barbers but Stag were very welcoming

I had recently moved to the area and tried another baber who didn't do a good job so I googled other barbers and came across Stag. Their initial appearance was what caught my eye but having a good website with gallery confirmed they care about their service.

The guy who cut my hair did a good recovery job and I'm very happy with what he did but there was a small bit that he missed, but this isn't an issue.

I will be using them again

Missed appointment by an hr as something came up forgot to phone in and was pre paid and because i missed it, they kept the money,, didnt move appointment forward, absolutely disgusting never be using again

Used Stag for the first time had a great cut from Lewis..good bloke good barber will be back.

The service was good but they didnt listen what i wanted i just wanted my sides and back cut if i didnt want my fringe to be touch i little cut would of been fine but they cut it short all that time growing it out for nothing

I've been growing my beard out now for a good few months having previously always had it really short. During that time I've visited two other barbers, the first being a bit of a nightmare and the second, (a big name and considered high end), being mediocre at best. One of the things I noticed with both of those places was that the barbers weren't really interested in what I wanted, it was more about going through the motions, if that makes sense.

Anyway, the beard had properly gotten away from me and was in desperate need of some attention, so having seen Stags Instagram and read the Google reviews I decided to give them a go. It's about a 40minute drive for me, so it's not like I was just popping down the road.

I found the booking process really easy online so booked in with Lewis who on arrival knew who I was and was waiting for me, a nice touch!

Lewis took the time to listen to what I wanted, even though I don't think I actually knew myself, and I walked away feeling, for once, confident with the trim.

Since then, I've had loads of compliments about how neat the trim is and how good it looks. So would I recommend Stag, ABSOLUTELY.
The service is great, the pricing is excellent and the finished product is just as I wanted.
