Used to be good in the 80s. The parts now built in Egypt and it shows - corroded bath, toilet seats, hinges corrode & snap. Fancy showrooms but poor quality and expensive

Looks nice but dreadful quality. We bought a suite from them but within 2 years just about all of it looks worse for wear. On our third toilet seat and that’s now failed for a different reason to the others. Either they split on the seams, the cheap wood can’t hold the screws or the hinges break. Shower head has corroded too.

Customer service do all they can not to replace items and don’t value the quality of the brand enough to recognise faults. Only provide warranty from original purchase date and when multiple failures happen, they wash their hands of you.

Really disappointing. Bad quality, toilet seat hinges break constantly because design is faulty. Wood starting to bubble and crack, these are about a year old. Rubbish customer service as well. Just not interested in being helpful and admitting there's a problem. Cost a fortune as well, much more expensive than other companies. Sold as top of the range by places like City Plumbing and don't live up to this at all. Don't buy them.

I recently bought the Heritage Avenbury Shower which I got online and was really impressed when it arrived. It's solid and seems like it's going to be really durable. It looks super too and is a great focal point. My only negative comment relates to the instructions - they cover the valve but not the other parts. Customer Service staff were really helpful when I called though.

Very POOR Quality Product

The hinges on our Oak Soft Close toilet seat have also sheared which according to all the reviews is a common fault with this Heritage/Bristan product.

Upon contacting Heritage Customer Services, I was informed that Heritage/Bristan limit the guarantee for these items to ONLY two years which I assume must show that Heritage/Bristan level of confidence in the quality and durability of their product! Unfortunately, our hinges have lasted slightly older than the guarantee period but these products should last "forever" if used sensibly.

At first sight, the hinges and seat look athletically pleasing but in reality, they are cheap castings with a very cheap chrome plating that shows signs of pitting and corrosion. There must be something fundamentally wrong with either Heritage/Bristans's design or manufacture of this product and it is NOT what customers expect from a company whose website claims: "As well as enduring style, Heritage offers long-lasting, well-built products which stand the test of time".

Trying to contact Heritage/Bristan at the moment is a nightmare and all of the Senior people within the organisation that really need to be contacted hide behind the Customer Support brick wall which is virtually impenetrable.

Looks good, should be good quality because it's very expensive but in reality it is not fit for purpose and poor value for money.

Appalling quality, I'm shocked they are still in business.
Customer service is disappointing.
Completely regret going for a heritage bathroom.

We have had the same problems - 1 seat (upstairs bathroom) we had, the hinges pulled out of the seat itself - replaced under warranty, , the other (downstairs utility) the hinges actually broke through. It is the design - no supports onto the pan at the back of the seat, just at the front, so all of the weight rests on the hinges. 2nd seat having a fight to get replaced as 6 weeks out of warranty. £96 on the internet to replace. Also, when we installed the upstairs bathroom the wall cabinet broke after a few weeks, they sent a replacement which had obviously had a fork lift truck fork through it - the outside packaging was holed & one door broken & the mirror was in pieces... Was eventually replaced... Customer service is pleasant enough, but very limited satisfaction.
