I had the Lymphatic Drainage Massage done with Beauty Maya and she is lovely and made me feel very comfortable every time. I will continue to go to her for my massages in the future. I highly recommend Beauty Maya.

Excellent service and great value! Maya is a pleasure to visit and she works always at the highest standards.
The fact she is such a professional and has the experience to cover so many services, made me become a regular customer.

First I would like to comment on the quality of her manicures. I found it to be poor, unhygienic and I’ve been left with two broken nails hard skin growing from the edge of my nail bed! Never in my life have I had to deal with this after a simple manicure. She explained that she had back to back customers and that I was her last - I could tell she was hasty to end the day and I was certain that the job was rushed.

As for Maria, I don’t believe she came from an evil place, rather an ignorant place. I’m a Muslim woman and I cover my body, including my hair. She made a remark firstly on my headscarf - Saying she is sweating just looking at me. I did not once indicate I was feeling hot. Nonetheless, I excused it. She then went on to say how she can’t handle Islam - fair enough, it’s an opinion. She further went onto complain about her Portuguese neighbour who became a Muslim, “Why would he do that? I don’t understand it”. She then made an insult to Muslim men and said she really hates Moroccan men. It clearly came from a place of xenophobia because she indicated she’s from Spain and that part has “too many of them”.

She even insulted the way Indian people speak and started saying random words mocking them and their accent.

I had an evening dinner with family so I really didn’t want to spoil my mood by becoming confrontational but it really was upsetting. She is a free spirit in nature from my observation - I get it but it did not justify her behaviour and comments.. she also used foul language (f*** it) multiple times. Very unprofessional! I was utterly appalled by her behaviour and service altogether. I really do not understand how she has achieved this many ratings.

I did not lie, and everything I said was the truth. I don’t think you’re a bad person, in fact you seem genuine and you’re funny. Like you say, you are a free spirit. At the same time, you’re idea of open minded conversation is not right. You crossed boundaries. My pedicure btw was very good and in fact one of the best I had (dry). It’s just everything else that was very triggering. I hope you learn to be open minded and understand that things can come across as very islamophobic, racist and rude. And as I already mentioned before, I don’t think that you’re horrible, I just think there was some ignorance.

Maria is lovely and very dedicated and her shellac work is beautiful, will definitely be coming back!
