The massage was great and the therapist was nice and friendly.

The receptionist is very rude and has poor manners. I was actually going to book further sessions after my massage but I was put off by her bad manners and later booked elsewhere.

Looking at the other reviews here it's very clear your Receptionist is costing your business many customers. My advice is get rid of her and employ someone else. She is obviousely bored and doesn't enjoy her job you can see it on her face.

I had a facial and a 1.5 hour thai essential oil/swedish massage. The facial was good and the massage was the best I've ever had - completely blissful. The price is fantastic value. Be aware that the premises is fairly basic but comfortable. The only draw back on my visit was being asked to change treatment rooms in between - I had to wait in a robe and shower cap in full view of the street! But this inconvenience was completely forgotten with the massage afterward. I'll be going back.

I spent £100 on a gift voucher for my partner in celebration of the birth of our first child together. I thought a massage would be exactly what my partner would need. Parenthood made it tricky to find time to use the voucher but we managed to cram in a massage within 3 months of the purchase. My partner explained to the receptionist at the time that she may not be able to return within the three months left on her voucher, and the receptionist said ‘you should be ok’. Seven months later (within a year of purchasing the voucher) my partner finally had time for another hour’s massage, but when she arrived she was told that her voucher was only valid for six months and that the money I had paid in good faith had simply been removed from the voucher. Just to be clear; there was no promotion or discount included with the voucher. I literally swapped pounds for an equivalent voucher that could only be exchanged for treatment at Amiika Spa. I feel that my money has been stolen, and I feel thoroughly let down that the treatment I wished upon my partner was not honoured, particularly as a new mother. The six month expiry on a gift voucher is a ludicrous idea, and no effort has been made to reconcile our grievance. The manager eventually got in touch to remind us that the 6 month expiry is company policy and that I should not have purchased the voucher if I didn’t agree with the small print. She remains adamant that the remaining £50 on the voucher can not be redeemed. Poor policy, No good will, Steer clear

As others above have already said there are two businesses not that the clients know this when they part with good money for a voucher!! The voucher has a menu attached which lists beauty treatments and massages . However on arrival I could not use my vouchers as the massages are a different company in same building . The receptionist disappeared and told me to call the salon !!! Even though I was standing in the salon !! I called and no answer from the elusive manager who has no name and lives in Thailand ..I explained I’ve paid for a service that’s on the vouchers and she would not budge … in the end after I called the police and then she re surfaced and said shes call her boss and call me back . Suddenly I was ok to have massage and lay an extra £10 as Amrika would transfer the money et to the separate Massage business . I have said I do t wish to return and want the money returned I’m waiting the outcome . Bottom line trading standards should get involved if the menu offers certain Services they should offer them ! If not update your vouchers and delete the massage offering … explaining its separate. I can see why the other reviews are the same as mine !!

Fortunately I didn't see the reviews before I visited. I booked via treatwell and was amazed by the level of their massage treatment. I was so impressed I booked a package and sent my wife there and she was also happy. I almost feel like people are pretending they had a bad experience so they can keep this local gem hidden.

The receptionist is a nice person, most people complaining about her are people that couldn't use a voucher or couldn't make noise. Reviews are always written by people that have bad experiences. Try it for yourself.

I had an amazing massage. This is top top top! The real, proper, deep tissue massage. The therapist is super professional. Will be now a loyal customer.

How can I be allowed to book if the shop is closed? I booked through treatwell and thought I'd wonder around the area to familiarise myself with the location of the shop before going for my appointment in a few days. However, I struggled to find it so I called the store, only to be informed that the shop was closed for refurbishment therefore future appointments were cancelled. This is ridiculous. Don't let me book if you will not be open, simple. Very unprofessional. Will I have been informed if I did not think of finding the shop myself prior to my appointment? Probably not. Do not recommend.

Due to a ridiculous concept of two different spas operating in the same business, there was a massive confusion when me and my girlfriend arrived at the spa to be told that the company we had booked for was currently closed for refurbishment. The Amiika staff member was incredibly rude and insincere to the whole issue trying to get us to leave as soon as possible rather than providing any help or support. Who'd want to be looked after by someone so cold!
