Better than the reviews. I read a lot of reviews on TA which were pretty negative, but we had a fabulous time, the staff were incredibly helpful, the facilities were good and the treatments were superb. Great value for money - 4 stars only because not as sparkling clean as it could be, and the jacuzzi (which is advertised) is permanently closed. Think the experience of this place depends on what time and day you go; we went Thursday day - pool was pretty empty, food was good, staff were brill and treatments were not rushed and very well delivered, also after 5pm we got 3 cracking cocktails for £10. Thank you so much for a lovely day.

I found the whole experience to be poor and not really thought out properly by brampton manner. The treatment area is at the opposite end of the building to the pool and sauna so you have to walk through the pub with your robes on, which you have to supply yourselves along with towels and a padlock for the lockers. The pool was taken up by swim classes, the steam room and jacuzzi was out of order and as for the treatment the staff were sniggering between themselves which is extremely unprofessional. After this we had our bottomless lunch and bottomless prosecco which the bar staff was unaware of at first. After this was sorted we found that the bottomless lunch was anything off of the £10 menu or there would be an additional cost and the prosecco was in fact one bottle. (false advertisement). As I've said very poor service and they should give it up as its not thought out properly.

Although the treatments are good this is definitely not a spa. You go through the bar and upstairs to the reception and treatment rooms (good job we can manage stairs), we had to wait outside as they weren’t open when we arrived. On arrival we were shown to a sitting room to fill out forms, not sure they really read them! We had to wait for drinks as nothing was prepared, the room needed a good clean (we spotted an escaped sugar cube under a table).
The treatments were good although not 25 mins for each one (I checked the clock). We asked about where we go to use the spa facilities, told it was an extra £5 each, and led through the bar to the sports club. Our money was paid then told the jacuzzi wasn’t working, hmmm. Receptionist was less than interested just said the pool is that way pointing up some stairs, it was a club member who took us round in the general direction. When we got there a ‘water babies’ class was in full flow, the changing rooms were far too busy with Mum’s n Dad’s and there tiny babies, so we turned round and wandered back to try to find the ladies changing rooms. Another club member found us wandering aimlessly about and showed us up more stairs and down a dark corridor above the squash courts to the ladies changing room - we had the place to ourselves. Cozzies on and wrapped in our own dressing gowns and flipflops (I know! What spa doesn’t supply dressing gowns and flipflops/slippers) we toddled off back to the pool.
One gaggle of new parents had finished their water baby session and a new set were in the pool and yet another we’re getting prepped for the next one. Not exactly relaxing spa-like zen. Anyway sauna, steam room blah blah, went in the half of the pool not used for water babies session - although the parents sat at the side of the pool videoing and taking photo’s of their offspring with the other parent, gave us filthy looks as we walked past them. The pool, oh dear, it’s 4ft deep, I’m a non-swimmer so go for the elegant option of using the ladder thing to get in, it’s loose - as in not fixed properly, a bit of a health and safety issue as it’s wobbly and will probably become detached soon. My friend and I were bumbling about in the pool, talking as you do, watching what actual the ‘water babies’ thing is (my friend is a soon-to-be Granny), when one of the little darlings puked in the pool, I suspect not the first or last one to do that. No effort was made to clear the puke from the water nor people asked to vacate the pool while it was dealt with, eeew! We had seen enough, it crossed our minds what had previous session goers done in the pool beforehand. We were out of there - like fast!
Flip-flopped our way back to our empty ladies changing room, showered, hair dried, dressed, back to ‘spa reception’ for our pre-ordered lunches. We went back to the upstairs dining room as we had been asked if we’d like our lunch there. We waited as we were a few minutes early and although the therapist had said earlier in the day they were fully booked, it was like the Marie Celeste, only the staff having their lunch...in the spa dining room! When our food arrived we couldn’t fault it, absolutely delicious. It’s just everything else that lets it down - badly.

This is not a spa, it’s a bar/pub with a salon above it. Don’t waste your money here, and don’t use the ladies loo’s upstairs....they’re filthy!

We were informed that jacuzzi was out of order fair enough but when we got into the pool area the steam room was out of order too. At no time even when we were paying to go in the spa area were we told it was out of action. So all we had was a pool and a sauna. The massage was ok but I have had better

My Daughter & myself had a lovely day at the spa was really looked after by everyone, the girls
doing the treatments & the young girl at the reception was faultless
couldn't do enough for us!
The spa could do with a bit of updating decor wise but apart from that we'll worth the money
Thank you to the girls

This place is fantastic from my personal experience, I pay a small fee to use so many things including a whole gym badminton courts squash courts pool jacuzzi steam and sauna, there are private changing rooms or a mixed changing room with cubicles next to the pool. The spa area has some great staff that look after you well, and are friendly,
Not to sure why people has given this place 1 star

I really want to book a treatment here but am finding it impossible to get a response. I have tried phoning several times, I have left a message on the answerphone as requested, with no response, I have tried leaving a message on Facebook but to no avail. Last time I went, although the treatments were good, I had the same problem trying to book and had to drive down in person to actually speak to someone and sort a booking! Not good enough. Not a way to run a business.
