Sadly not what I expected from Boots. Bungled repeat prescriptions led to withdrawal symptoms. I started phoning to chase and was hung up on four times. I am helping them by reducing their customer load and moving to another for my repeats. I know they will miss me.

I've waited nearly a month for a prescription which was supposed to be renewed automatically. No explanation from them as to why its late. The pharmacy randomly closes between 2 and 3.30, which makes it much harder for me to get there to pick up prescriptions, as I really need to go in the afternoons when work is quieter.

Absolutely disgusting for Boots pharmacy. I have had to wait 3 months for my son medicine and when they eventually prescribed it the date was expiring in the next few weeks. When I try to call them the phone is always engaged and the staff are always on lunch break.

Hands down the worst boots ive been to. Couldn’t even understand the man in the pharmacy. Never enough staff. Never answer their phones. Avoid if you can

There’s never anyone working at the counter or shop floor, queues always long because not even one member of staff to be seen. There’s plenty behind the prescription counter though, they just glance at the queue and carry on with whatever little thing they’re doing. There’s only one reliable staff member called Wendy, but I think she’s the only employee at this point to be honest. That one star is for her, otherwise it would be a 0.

You expect great service from such a well known British institution. Well, not from this this branch! Waited 20 mins in a boiling hot shop with a poorly child with a temp of over 39 degrees for them to tell me one part of the prescription wasn’t in stock (why not tell me straight away before dispensing the other item so I could decide to go elsewhere??? I suspect it’s a commercial decision, so they get the income) and they didn’t know when it would be in stock. They gave me one item and a slip for the other item and said if I could find another pharmacy who had it in stock they would reprint the prescription so I could get it elsewhere. Finally found another pharmacy who had it in stock, so went back to Boots to get the print out. Was then told that they couldn’t split the prescription (which another member of staff had advised! They could) so I offered to hand back the first item they had supplied so I could get the whole prescription reprinted. The other pharmacy then didn’t have both items but luckily they offered to lend one of the items to Boots so I could complete the prescription. The rude lady saw that I was back for a third time, and despite a queue of about 6 people forming decided to have a chat to one of the customers about holidays. 15 mins later and she finally acknowledged me, telling me that the item supplied previously was thrown away, but I could have it back if that didn’t bother me. I was so fed up by this point and just needed the medication for my poorly child that I said it was ok. Another 10 mins passed and she came back to ask if I wanted the medication made up! Maybe it’s just me, but is it not the pharmacists job to make up the medication for the customer??? Another 10 mins went past and I finally was able to leave but I will never shop in this branch again. Would have scored zero stars if possible.

Everytime my girlfriend goes into this pharmacy (3 or 4 times now) the manager/head pharmacist is rude, dismissive and unhelpful.
She clearly hates her job and maybe should find a new vocation.
