While I hesitate to write this review because I actually want to have this place all to myself, I can't resist to share how beautiful it is.
I spent three nights here for a get away from the city buzz in April 2017 and can happily confirm that this B&B lives up to its positive reviews.
The owners went out of their way to make my stay a great memory. From a warm welcome, over state of the art rooms, to delicious breakfast. I loved every part of it. The bed was even more comfy than my own at home.
Location wise this place is simply perfect. The property has beautiful views with the sound of nature all around you while the quirky little town is only 2 minutes down the hill.
I highly recommend popping into the Swan for dinner. Their pork belly is mouth watering.
By far the best kept secret along the walking trails with beautiful surroundings.
As one of the other guests pointed out quite concisely: "There is a lot of cr#p along the way, but this is the best B&B in the area".
Overall absolutely delighted I stayed at the Castle Hill House and planning to come back some time later this year.

We spent one night at Castle Hill House during our walk of Offa's Dyke Path in September, 2018 and could not have been more impressed. We arrived soaking wet and muddy in the pouring rain but Hetan greeted us graciously, unbothered by our grubbiness. The room was lovely but the best thing about it was the spaciousness! So often when travelling you find yourself crammed into a room with barely enough room for two people and their luggage. Breakfast was very nice and it was also wonderful to have several options other than the full English breakfast which we had had 4 mornings in a row at that point. Sylvia was a lovely and interesting hostess - we enjoyed chatting with her. Our only regret was that we had to leave after only one night to continue our walk.

Stayed two nights as a birthday treat and it was perfect. Sylvie and Hetan are wonderful hosts who very obviously take pride and enjoyment from welcoming people to their beautiful home. They have recently renovated this delightfully situated old house really sympathetically with rooms that are most tasteful and comfortably furnished.
We were greeted and shown around by Hetan who offered cake and fresh milk to enhance the complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits in the room.
Breakfasts superb with lots of choice and served with a smile and really helpful information by Sylvie.
Great location for wonderful walking and exploring the Welsh Marches. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The house is conveniently located on the Offa's Dyke path and any other non-specific walk in the Kington region.
The welcome is warm.
The rooms are well appointed, clean, tidy and COMFY.
The house is generally beautiful.
The breakfast menu is fully inclusive, so faddy eaters (I'm veggie) don't need to feel awkward asking if they have anything to suit.
The packed lunches were tasty and well stocked - it was great to not have a cheese sandwich for the umpteenth time and I now have a great sandwich recipe to try at home that I'd never considered before.
Luggage transfer arranged by the accommodation was reliable and good value - it was reassuring having this completed by the owners rather than using a random service.
Would I return here again? Yes - it was my favourite stop on the whole walk.

This is the all-round nicest B&B we've ever stayed in! The hosts are extremely friendly, helpful and hospitable. The house is lovely and boasts gorgeous views of the surrounding garden and countryside, and the rooms are very stylish, comfortable, and spacious. To top it off the breakfasts are probably the nicest breakfasts we've we've ever had- anywhere!! Very impressed 👍

We stayed for two nights and it was lovely. Hatan and Silvia were great hosts, thank you, both! Everything was perfect, the breakfast (amazing selection, btw), the room, location, everything! I can't reccomend the place enough. By far the best B&B I've been to.

The place was within easier access of the town than I thought and away from the hustle and bustle
Close access to the local bus stop
Great for local shop (Coop, butchers, the Walking Hub etc)
Has a separate annex for self catering
Well equipped kitchen, with oven/hob. fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave sink
Downstairs has a dining table and sofa , small table and TV
Upstairs is the bathroom with a walk-in shower, WC and basin
Double bed and TV, wardrobe
Hosts were welcoming and everything was excellently laid back
Hope to be back for 2021 for the walking festivals, certainly the one in September 2021

Will add photos at a later stage
