Wonderful experience. The place has the air of coming straight out of the 30's and has a genuinely authentic atmosphere about it. The double bed I stayed in was super comfy and tea, coffee etc were on tap. Clean room tastefully decorated by any standard. Wi-Fi worked well. Price was reasonable and the proprietor ran me round to Stanstead before my flight. Very homey. Great couple. I would rather stay here any day than in a five star hotel given the warmth of their reception. To be honest, it felt like I was staying with family, except they were nicer :)

Really nice start to our holiday staying at this close to Stanstead airport B&B. Very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Pubs near by for food and very nice continental breakfast in a picturesque kitchen. The transfers were prompt and we even had our luggage weighed on a very accurate antique weigh in thing..I chose not to stand on it myself!
Thank you to them

Quick stay for an airport pick up in the early hours. Very comfortable accommodation. Super friendly hosts who provided a lovely continental breakfast that we could eat at 3 am including hot toast as toaster provided in room. 3 mile from Stansted meant it was so convenient. Hosts also coped with us not having pre warned them that one of us had to eat gluten free. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was well equipped and attractive. It had it's own private entrance from the garden with your own patio should you wish to sit outside and enjoy the view of the country side. No full English breakfast but a superb spread of every other breakfast you could possibly desire. The owner Tony was very friendly and helpful especially when the bus hadn't showed up for the airport. He quickly dropped me off at the airport at the last minute.

Nice warm welcome from a lovely couple, Tony and Jan were great hosts. The room was clean and cozy, the whole place could be called modern rustic. Ideally situated for Stansted Airport and most of their guests are in transit to/from the airport

There is no way this place could get sny better.
I feel a tad more than fatigued by the android style treatment in the sterile AirPort nightly stop-overs.

Being invited to a genuine country ennvironment with real people - that actually, and genuinely, care about your non standardised, preconceived needs - is a commodity in increasingly scarce supply..

I also get the feeling they would, literally, put in the extra mile if you needed a lift anywhere. "I'm going to the pub - would you like a lift down" somehow catches the spirit of the place. As does the "we serve breakfast to half eight - but you can have it any time you fancy.

It gets even better... the checkout time of 11 was transformed into a "the next guest checked in at 16..00 som "just give me time to prepare the room" and feel free to loiter in the kitchen" approach.

You are living next to an airport - so there will be "aircraft noise". If you find that a drawback - you probably don't understand the concept of airport proximity (a bit like complains about humidity when you are living on the banks of the amazon,

My twin room was excellent - in the country atmosphere with an "all necessity bathroom". The continental breakfast had all imaginable continental offerings (stretching from fresh berries, through various granolas an cerise to the humble jam and toast and the more pretentious croissants.

If you find anything to complain about you're more likely looking for trouble rather than enjoyment. I read a review that criticised their no-refund policy for late cancellations- - it's all in the bold print.

Running a high quality/low cost establishment does not provide much scope for glitches (they only have three rooms). If you don't like their policy - don't book the room(s). The fact that people moan and want others to pay for their mistakes/misfortunes requires insurance policies (which cost money).

There is no way anything but top marks for this establishment makes any kind of sense.

Great little B&B. Tucked out of the way but very homely. Nice self contained rooms with onsuite. Breakfast are served in the country style kitchen with cereals, fresh bead and fruit. Plenty of tea and coffee available. A little Gem on the Essex countryside and one in which we will most definitely visit again.

Beautiful rooms, superb luxury 'continental' breakfast, close to Stansted airport hence some noise under flight path during flying hours. Very friendly. They offer parking with ride to airport.
