The Jolly Drover

Had an evening meal on the 8th September 🥺. It was a wet night and no customers had frequented the bar but several had stopped for a meal.
The food was adequate but service slow 🐌. Could be that a new management team and staff were working as not previously encountered! Could be initial teething problems, hope so.

Great room and very nice bathroom, comfortable bed, good selection of drinks in the room.
The only downside in my eyes was the very bright green glow from the emergency light in the bedroom, also for taller people...the shower head was fixed at chin height, my chin height, so it wouldn't affect everyone.

I can highly recommend a stay here. The rooms are light and airy, clean and fresh and their food is good. I used to live in the area and have had many excellent meals with them spanning over 8years.

Had a great family lunch here - with nine people. Unfortunately the kitchen was understaffed for the number of people eating so we had a wait of over an hour for our food. The manager gave us a round of drinks to apologize. Loved the puddings - the banoffee pie was to die for.

Comfortable, warm room with all the associated facilities. Lovely breakfast served by a rather hassled chef who had been let down by the previous staff - tables not set, missing cups, etc. Would definitely go again

My local pub, under new management with new carpet and very nice too. The pub has rooms but I haven't had a reason to use them yet, always seem to be booked up though.

It was very cold while we were sitting there having lunch and one of the radiators was not working . It would have been appreciated if more vegetables were offered with the fish dish.
