I normally go for hotels, and rarely stay at B n Bs but this place is perfect.
The style of the house is gorgeous, and feels like I’m at home! So relaxed. I never usually nap in the afternoon but just couldn’t help myself with how comfy and cosy the room is!
Breakfast was great and the garden is lovely for that morning cuppa

Lovely stay, and super accommodating to my earlier breakfast requirements. Thank you! Will be staying again when working in the area.

We absolutely loved this place. Grade 1 listed building that was quirky and delightful. The double room was big with a lovely compfy bed.Great service and a great breakfast, we could not fault it.

I fell seriously ill with a kidney infection on site and the current old man who is running it shouted at me and screamed get out in my face and more or less dragged me from the bed and still has yet to process a refund, he was jekyl and hide and though the place is beautiful and he attempted to apologise his abusive and frankly insane attitude and disgusting behaviour has sadly been extensively reported on this review service. I was extremely unwell and his duty was to ensure I received a paramedic I could barely walk and two days later I ended up severely unwell in hospital. Sadly my advice weighing it all up is to avoid, such a Shame

Beautiful traditional deco big rooms. Peter was there to receive us. Peter is very humble and nice to talk with person.

Breakfast can be better-
Tea can be boiled and served rather an electric kettle was provided.
Muffins, croissants and few more options would be good.
We could not fill up as there was only half cooked eggs and cereals and not so good Tea.

Peter the proprietor was so accommodating and pleasant.
The Manor House is stunning and I had a very comfortable stay.
The room has everything you need and a great touch is the availability of real milk not UHT .
The breakfast was first class.
Will definitely be staying here again.

I stayed for 9 days and was pleased that I had picked this B&B. I was on a training course at Writtle College and would recommend. Bed was very comfortable and cooked breakfast was of good quality. Lots choices and always exactly on time. Peter was on hand for any help or information.
