Very friendly and helpful owner who dries your wet clothes and shoes after long hikes/runs. Cosy and clean rooms which are well stocked with tea/coffee, water, and a welcome chocolate box. Excellent breakfast and superb choice of coffee beans! Superb access to everything in Edale. An excellent "home from home" B&B !

Just spent two nights here last week, and my experience couldn't have been better. Traveling solo and wanting to get away from the city and do some hiking, I found that the level of hospitality and the quality of the food (locally sourced and delicious - I recommend the "Full English" breakfast) were superb. Even though the weather was wintry this week I enjoyed a warm, cozy and welcoming environment after exploring the ample natural beauty of the area during the day. Julia is a wonderful host, and apart from cooking breakfast and keeping the house pristine, she was friendly and even dried my wet shoes and socks overnight. I am happy to recommend Stonecroft and hope I can return someday!

A very comfortable B&B. The host is very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. It felt more like a home than a holiday.

Excellent accommodation and wonderful home from home atmosphere with superb food and service. I would positively recommend Stonecroft guest House to anyone requiring B and B accommodation in the Edale area of the Peak District.

Stonecroft is a charming, characterful house wrapped by a well-tended garden that can't fail to instil a sense of tranquillity. It's located a hundred metres from the start of the Pennine Way; well-placed for ascents up to Hollins Cross for Mam Tor, or Jacob's Ladder for Kinder Low. It's a two-minute walk between two public houses, a general store and cafe.

The house is superbly maintained to a high level of detail and a very high level of cleanliness; you won't find any bathroom mold or cheap bedsheets here. This is achieved without sacrificing any of the building's period charm or homely touches; this is still, primarily, an outdoorist's B&B. It's just a very good one.

Hospitable to a fault, Julia went out of her way to ensure everything was catered for, with numerous personal touches revealing a true passion for her work. She's an excellent chef, meticulously catering for different diets, whilst leveraging the best of local produce. There's a lovely range of fresh leaf teas, packed lunches on request, and good conversation if you so choose.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and hope to return soon.

This guest house lives up to everything Julia claims it to be. It's superb. The attention to detail is impressive. Stonecroft is a lovely house, ultra clean, comfortable and the breakfast menu is interesting and good. I have stayed twice and I hope to return.
