This is a beautiful property steeped in history. Lisa and her family were so kind and accommodating. We have a 2 1/2 year old, and a giant dog, and we were made to feel so at home and well looked after. The small details like homemade cakes when we arrived, hot water bottles and toys for our little one to play with were really thoughtful and breakfast was amazing. I would recommend this place to families and, as someone who travels a lot on my own, also very safe and friendly if you are on your own too.

What an absolute gem.
Don’t delay in booking, Lisa and the gang are the perfect hosts. The room I stayed in (double) with massive en-suite had an ultra comfy bed, all the stuff you needed including a fully stocked tea tray and a slice of beautiful home made cake both days :)
The brekkie was epic each morning, incredible choice and spot on, and then there was the Massage... Now I’ve had a few in my life to say the least, and this was hands down the best I’ve had. Lisa was really tentative asking what was needed and was superb.
The house is gorgeous and the area brilliant, especially to take a trip to Cambridge, meeting Mr Tom one of the four cats and Bucky the dog a highlight, and Lisa and Harry a joy to chat to. So glad I found it. See you soon! Xxx

Beautiful property, wonderful and welcoming hosts, and lovely breakfast.
We stayed overnight for a wedding at the nearby Chippenham Park. No more than a 10 minute simple drive from the venue so excellent location for this. It was a shame we weren't here for longer because it seemed like a lovely area to visit.
From start to finish Lisa was a super host. Nothing wasn't considered, from facilities in the room, to breakfast, to advice about the local area.
We hope that we get a chance to visit again, as we really enjoyed our stay here and felt it was excellent value given the accommodation and service provided. Thanks Lisa (and family).

Our daughters booked this for our 30th wedding anniversary and we loved it! Lisa was an excellent host and really went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything you could wish for. Breakfast was delicious and Lisa even gave us homemade cake upon arrival. The whole place feels so homely and we wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to friends and family. Thank you Lisa for such a lovely stay.

Beautiful place very friendly host. Loved our room very quirky, go downstairs to the large ensuite bathroom. Large selection of toiletries, tea and coffee. Home made cake on arrival. Great massage too. A very relaxing weekend. Thank you Lisa 😊

Returned to this beautiful property for the second time. Lisa and Harry are perfect hosts, beds ultra comfortable, breakfast faultless! Love all the extra touches such as earplugs and coffee machine in the rooms. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

The hosts are very welcoming, nothing is ever too much.
Cake every afternoon on our return.
Our room was very clean and extremely comfortable, the breakfast was awesome as well.

Lovely weekend stay at this beautiful thatched Farmhouse. Our host Lisa couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms were fantastic and it is a great location for exploring the Newmarket/Cambridge area. Highly recommend.
